As someone that performs wound care, this trauma kit has most of the essentials for minor trauma care in the field or home. I am making a trauma kit to take out in the woods with me after catching my knee with my chainsaw. I had to add some additional supplies, such as saline solution, gauze and tape, but this kit has all the tools for the main work for wound care.

For a mountain emergency kit and possibly for 'prepping', figured this surgical set is a must-have. Ideally we will never need to actually use it, tho with some medical experience in the family it is a valuable item to have on hand.

Wow; If you ever need this; you will be glad you have it. Add it to your Get out of Dodge Bag. Emergency Shelter or advanced first aide pack. I added Two Quick Clot and the Army First aid kit. A must have for anyone whom can or has too close a wound requiring more than a band-aide. Great price; great product.

Wanting to upgrade my first aid kit I bought this kit. Thinking more that if it's needed it is there for someone with the training or if I must do something in a emergency. Most all instruments are in good working order except the curved hemostats which would not close even pinched as far as you could. The scissors are very sharp and the instruments that were not defective work very well. I thought they could had included a few more prep pads so supplemented a few more them and a few more instruments, sterile pads, bandages, plus a large bag from Emergency Essentials website. Dollar for dollar from the other site this kit was about the same price although you can pick and choose from the later. Duluth as always shipped fast and is highly trusted.

Purchase was for emergency preparedness. Fortunately I have not had to used it. I can say that this set is well made and will be of value in an emergency that requires more than a band-aid.
