Top Notch Product, Runs a Little Large

By Matt

About Me Career, Casual, Classic

Pros

  • Comfortable
  • Great Color
  • Quality Material

Cons

  • Irregular Fit

    COMMENTS:

Love the product, keeps me plenty warm. However it does run a little large. I'm 6' tall and about 200 lb and the elastics are fully tight at the shoulders and the legs are still about an inch too long. Not a big deal if you wear a huge winter boot with a serious heel I guess, but for me it seemed too long. Like I said though, from riding my motorcycle in less than warm conditions, to working on the nastiest days of the winter, these overalls have performed exceptionally. I received a pair of larges so I would recommend a medium for someone else my height.

      COMMENTS:

These things are heavy duty and warm. I ride my motorcycle year round and hate being cold. The only problem and it is a big one is these are too big and way too long. I am a 38/30 jean size so I went with a XL 30. I made the straps as tight as I could and they were still loose and still way too long. I did stay warm but I hate walking on my pants. I thought maybe a large 30 would be better and asked DTC customer service if the overall length would shorter and they said no. So I am in limbo on weather or not to return them or to tough it out and know that they are going to fray and continue to annoy me when I am walking around in them. I would only recommend these to people that are taller than 5'10.

      COMMENTS:

Sizes seem to run big in the overalls. Bottoms to long, jacket a little big. Probably fine for Artic when you have to wear more underneath. Hope I don't lose weight..........

Gift for my husband, hasn't worn but a couple times so far but says they keep him warm. He wears a 32" inseam so that is what I ordered, these are just a little long.

          • no carpenter pant style leg pockets

          Best Uses

            COMMENTS:

I have wore Carhartt bibs for years, but when I saw these on sale I purchased them. Carhartt bibs don't have a waterproof knee and these do, and working construction that's a big deal. I really wish these had a side leg pocket like carpenter pants do, I was always putting tools in that pocket on my Carhartt bibs.

The legs are long, so order about 2 inches shorter than your regular pant size, probably due to the fact that bibs hang about 2 inches below your crotch of your pants when you wear them.......

I think these are warmer and maybe better made. If they had the side leg pocket I would give 5 stars!
