Head:

Measure around head, just above eyebrows. Convert inches to hat size using sizing chart.

Sleeve:

Measure from center of back at neck to shoulder, over elbow and down to wrist.

Tradesman Sizing:

Our clothing is generously sized for extra roominess and easy moving fit. No need to size up.

Neck:

Measure around the middle of the neck (at the Adam's apple).

Waist:

Bend side to side to find natural waist. Measure around waist.

Chest:

Keeping tape parallel to the floor, measure fullest part of chest with arms relaxed down at sides.

Inseam:

Measure a pair of pants that fit you well. Measure from the crotch seam to bottom of pants. If you are measuring 100% cotton pants that have been washed, add 1⁄2".

Working In The Desert

The purpose of this shirt is to keep you cool. That outcome is similar to the CoolPlus shirt: Excellent, making it worth the buy. It is like wearing a cool breeze. It was 111 degrees here the other day and this was the most comfortable I've ever been. Given its light weight I was surprised at how durable it is.

Kind of a con is the wrinkling that other reviewers have mentioned. The thing is it is a very small uniform wrinkling all over. My wife really likes it. The gusset is a joke. I just compared the underarm spacing to a standard shirt without gussets and there was only a slight increase, enough to give it lip service. As soon as I lift my arms beyond shoulder height up comes my shirttail. It might be better for those ordering the short sleeve version to get the tall, even if you aren't.

Keep in mind the cooling effectiveness is superb. I ordered a second one.

Pretty COOL shirts

I recently went to Texas from Oregon to see the Australian V8 Supercars run at The Circuit of the Americas in Austin. I purchased two Armachillo shirts after reading that they were S. Texas tested. I was quite pleased with the results. They are cool to the touch, they protected me in the blazing Texas sun at the track and having purchased the patterned shirts....one long-sleeved and one short-sleeved, I fit in with the crowd like I was a native Texan. Ya gotta try em to believe it. These are definitely COOL shirts. Both in how they protect you from the heat and how they make you look. I already have recommended them to my friends and family.

I appreciate a shirt that does not get smaller over time. If I buy a large, for example, I do not want it to become a "medium" after a few washes. This shirt is made of material that does not shrink, and I would buy another if more colors were available.

DTC missed the mark here ...

I bought two of these shirts, and am disappointed that the fabric is VERY wrinkly, and even ironing doesn't help. Comfortable, but can't wear them to work. I'm also a bit disappointed that the shirts lengths are very short, compared to the non-plaids. I'd recommend ordering the tall version, as they don't stay tucked-in. Concept great, execution so-so. Can't recommend.
