I am a retired police ofiicer and I still carry my old off duty
.38 snub-nose usually in a pocket holster in a trouser pocket, and these suspenders are the ticket for an all day comfortable unnoticeable carry. I also have a pair of the side clip suspenders that I use to hold my hip boots up while fly fishing. They are about 14 years old and wearing like iron.

I use this because it is much more comfortable than having a tight belt around my waist that does not "give" when sitting down and getting up. The side clip attachments allow me to sit for long periods (e.g. in a car) without back clips digging into my skin.
