Comments about Handwarmer - Zippo Pocket Handwarmer:

I remember my dad, years ago having and using one of these working construction outside all day in the winter. I would take it from his pocket when he got home and it would still be amazingly warm. I had looked around and couldn't find it locally, or even anyone that knew what I was talking about. The steady consistent heat warms the entire pocket so your hand finds a completely warm area even outside in the wind. And it lasts a long time! A great hand warmer! I will buy another.

Used on hunting trip in 10 degree weather works perfect so much that I bought 2 more which makes 4 in all. Just wish there was a way to shut off instead of it having to burn off. Seems like you could save on butane.

I gave this to my son for Christmas. He immediately put it to use as he was doing construction work outside during his break. He loves it! Said it stayed warm all day! He showed it to his older brother and told him how awesome it was and he immediately went on line to purchase one for himself!

Comments about Handwarmer - Zippo Pocket Handwarmer:

Works great, but let me try to save you the worry of some things you may encounter, and a few hints.

follow the instructions, they are spot on, but there are a few quirky things.

after you fill it, if you mashed down the white wick material inside the main unit, use a pin, and get that stuff back up so its even, and touching the metal 'grate' on the top.

check the underside of the 'burner' and make sure its grey stuff is all even and touching its 'grate' as well, adjust with a pin as necessary

put it together, and leave it alone for a minute or two, then light it. i would hold it horizontal, and run a flame across it for a little bit, then flip it and flame up the other side.

it takes just as long to light as they say its does, especially the first time, a good 30 seconds. Its not obvious when its lit, there is only a slight red glow when its on, sometimes its easy to see, sometimes its so faint you can't see anything, but it is still on, don't worry.

the instructions say to keep it in its bag/pouch, and this helps with the temperature and the amount of time it will stay warm for. Sure, its warm, but its not really the amount of warmth I'm looking for in the cold. I like to take it out from time to time.

when its in the bag, its going to use fuel more slowly, and at first when you remove it from the bag you will feel its somewhat warm. (will barely be able to see the 'embers' burning at this point if you took the cover off)

If you leave it out of the bag, it has more air, uses more fuel, gets warmer, quite warm/hot actually, give it a few minutes, and it will be way warmer than it was while in the pouch (the red 'embers' are more obvious now)

so mix it up, when you need the heat take it out, when your not needing it as much, keep it in the pouch. If it stays out of the pouch for a while it feels very hot to room-temperature hands, and weirdly uncomfortable-hot to really cold hands. I don't think it will burn in short doses, but over time perhaps. In the instructions they do warn of a long duration low temperature burn hazard, and I would agree, if its not in the pouch and directly on your skin.

I've only used this a few times, and I've gotten 18-22 hours out of it each time, although the directions say 6-12 hours is to be expected. I have never overflowed it while filling, so I probably don't even have as much fuel in it as it can possibly take.

                                  I'm satisfied with this purchase.
