I have tried it many times and I can't get it to work. It might work if the tick was really big and had already gotten fat, but i don't let them stay on that long.

I bought three of these for myself, my daughter and a neighbor-all of us have new dogs. So far my granddaughter and husband have had ticks embedded and this simple tool removed them easily and quickly. Such a simple tool, but so effective-I live on Long Island in New York where there is a great epidemic of Lyme disease and have tried almost every other method of removing ticks, none of which removes the pest in one whole piece. I intend to order more to give away.

Works good where the pet hair is short. Harder to use on a dog with long hair. But it does work. Also works good on getting ticks off myself and my wife. Have had two bad years for ticks and this summer looks like another bad year. Beats pulling ticks off with tweezers.

The tick key works so well I bought 2 more. So far, one of my husband's friends has bought one too. No more tweezers, pulling out hair and hoping the head pulled out. Our dog doesn't mind the treatment at all. We probably use it two to three times a week. Ingenious product!

I use it hiking with a 80lbs pack on my back with my Pomeradian mountain dog. LOL When the hike is done she knows it is time for tick check. She rolls over and says ok find them daddy. :) This item is well made. Not cheap tin.

We have major tick infections each summer. We have found nothing to effectively remove them. Hope this works effectively as advertised.

I do a lot of primitive camping (that why the limited evaluation) and I will know more later this year. I do a Civil War Hospital Impression and I am waiting to see what my Dr. and paramedic friends think of it. If they like it, you will probably get more orders for them. I haven't really had a chance to use it yet.

This is going in all the first aid kits. Hiking, trail riding, winter and summer this is better than matches or tweezers!

WE PURCHASED THE TICK KEY TO USE IN THE SUMMER, BUT THE EARLY WINTER WAS WARMER IN MAINE. TO OUR SURPRISE TICKS WERE STILL ACTIVE AT 38 DEGREES. FOUND 2 TICKS ON OUR DOG AND THEY WERE SO MUCH EASIER TO REMOVE WITH THE KEY THAN OUR OLD METHOD! GREAT PRODUCT!
