Cool!

By B#

Pros

  • A backpacking must have
  • Kept us cool for hours

Cons

  • Can chafe skin over time
  • Very stiff when dry

Best Uses

  • Around neck
  • Scarf

We loved these on the trail. I had 50 lbs. on my back in 90 degree weather and the heat was not an issue. Don't wear it in one place all day long. It can irritate your skin (very minor). Re-wet it every couple hours. Move it to a few different positions and you will be cool all day.

Keeps You Cool

By VariousBones

Pros

  • Case Included
  • Durable
  • Lightweight

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Work

I work in a steel mill and purchased this product with the intent to put it under my hardhat. While wrapping it around my head in a traditional headband style proved to be too bulky to fit under my hardhat, I folded it up and used it as a liner. While it did keep me cool, the added weight did put a little strain on my neck. Now, I wear it tied around my neck and it does a very good job of keeping me cool. It comes with a case for when you're not using it and wicks away sweat and wetness and doesn't drip like other products I've tried.

    This thing works!

I got this for my son for the desert outside El Paso where it was 107 in the shade...oh wait, there was no shade! It really does the job of keeping you cool(er) - only drawback is when it dries, it turns into a cracker!

    Chilly Dana

    By Shelley

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • Holds moisture well
    • Very cooling

    Cons

    • Hard to tie
    • LImited color options

    Best Uses

    • Keeping cooler

I like the product, but was surprised by spots which were on the fold lines and looked like dirt or mildew(but don't smell). I couldn't figure them out since it was sealed inside a sealed container. I also wish that it was a bit thinner and therefore easier to tie. More colors would be nice too

    A/C for your head

    By Shpank

    from Denver CO

    Verified Buyer

    Pros

    • Keeps your head cool

    Cons

    • Lack of color choice

    Best Uses

    • Any time it's hot

We don't go over 100 very often, but the sun is more intense at altitude and this thing really works well. Even indoors - My A/C went out at home and I was impressed with how well this helped keep me cool for a few days until it was fixed. Would have been 5 stars of there were colors other than red.

    Indy 500

    By Racefan

Record heat on May 27th for the Indy 500. Really helped to keep cool. Wore it around my neck and had no problems in the crowded stands. Just refreshed it with a bottled water and was good to go.
