The Buff works as advertised, is a very versatile and quite comfortable way to keep the sun & bugs off your head and your hair out of your eyes while working in the yard or playing active sports. I would have given it another star if it weren't for the price. It is a lot of money for what is basically a small piece of knit fabric, the only thing special being that it is a tubular knit instead of being seamed. Otherwise, you could make one yourself for a lot less money. I would recommend it to a friend with the proviso that it is pricey.

We have tons of gnats and mosquitos in our yard. I was hoping that I could wear this as a headband and it would keep the bugs away from my head. It does keep the bugs away, which is great. But it is a little too small to use as a headband, it slips off. I have worn it as a scrunchie around a pony tail and pulled long over my hair (kerchief style). I splurged on this product with high hopes. I found it to be overpriced for what you get. But so far it is helping with the bugs!

Love this purchase. Took to a 2-week beach/fishing trip... Wore it in a different style over 10 times.Quality superb , versatility so fun. I will be ordering another one in a different pattern.

In general I only write reviews for items if I don't like them or find something wrong with them, but I was offered free shipping in exchange for writing a review, good or bad. SO... I really quite like this Buff. It's got a pretty design and it's light, and it can be worn so many different ways. It's helpful as a sweatband, and for keeping my hair covered and out of my face, and it really does seem to work to keep insects away from my head. The only thing is I wish it were a LITTLE stretchier and fit over my head a little more easily, but I gave it 5 stars anyway because I've only been using it a week or so and I'm pretty sure it will stretch out a bit over time. Overall it's a great product :-)

Anything that keeps the Maine black flies from biting is great in my book. Wore it as a birkha cutting wood. Worked great.

I would like it to be at least an inch wider as it felt quite tight when pulled up around my face.
