I received guard dog for Christmas and like it so much I order the guard dogII for a gift. Watch is very sturdy and well built. Had problem with my first one, called and they immediately sent a new one along with return label for the defective one. I'm very pleased with Duluth Trading.

love the idea, design, look, functions and features.....but...the first one, the stem pulled out when trying to set the time -analog. (Returned-well done service) The second one's digital read out vanished within a week... weak battery? And after reading the reviews on battery replacement, uh ,no thanks!

i only used the product for a few days till the digital readout stopped working. i never dropped it or got it wet. read the instructions that come with the watch and you will realize that the watch is all show and no go.

My wife gave me this watch as a Christmas present. She knows how tough I am on my watches and wanted to give me something that would outlast being banged around, dropped and generally abused. So far it has been great. I love the fact that it is heavy. It fells like it could live through what I can dish out. All the guys that I have showed it to have also been impressed with its looks and really like the fact that it clips onto the wasteband of your pants...definitely a coolness factor that I lacked previously.

It's always hot and humid here, so a wristwatch is a pain. The Guard-Dog is a perfect answer, clipped to my belt. Every feature is as advertised, to make it short. But one problem I "thought" I had was that the belt-clip thing is new to me and I'd forget it when removing my belt at end-o-day, so it took a number of bad drops on soft and hard surfaces. Didn't phase this thing one bit.
BUT- a weakness, so to speak- when it came time to replace the battery I took it to a watch/jewelry shop "to make sure it was done right". Huh. They screwed it up, left me with half the features broke. (I looked inside- it aint that complicated, shoulda done it myself.)
My first move, w/o hesitation, was to get on the puter and order another one from DTC. Can't stand bein without this thing!

In less than a year the battery was kaput! In addition the watch would not stay closed in the case it would just fall 'open' on my belt. I tried multiple jewelers to replace the battery cover and short of pounding on the back with a sledge hammer the back cover could not be closed up! I gave this a One only because I could not give it the negative rating it deserves. Buy a dollar pocket watch and you will get more for your money!

This watch is amazing, very handy. It fits right there on your belt, my belt that I use is smaller than the watch buckle but still it functions perfectly. Every since I received this in the mail about a month ago I've used it every day and it's even replaced my alarm. Every one who works in high risk jobs should buy one of these little beautys! I've looked in the past for a watch to go on my belt so I didn't have to keep pulling my phone out of my pocket to check the time or worrie about getting my watch caught in machinery but none were worth the time until i came across the GuardDog 2. Now with a quick flick of the wrist there's the time, n look it's smoko time you little ripper! Thanks Duluth
