I'm probably on the younger side for a handkerchief user (33 yr old), but it;s how I was brought up.

If like me, you've grown tired of the thin dime store white variety, find the typical plaid assortments too tiny to be of any real use, and aren't a Dust Bowl era farmhand (so the elephant size bandannas are out), try these.

One wash renders them soft enough to carry, and they do get dramatically softer with each launder, as other commenters have shared. They will be slightly wrinkled when you remove them from the dryer, but no so much that they require ironing.

Since receiving them at the beginning of the year, one (or sometimes two of them) has pretty much been a constant daily companion.

Great big nice and soft! Bandana sized and made from thick premium cotton. Best hankie around... My only complaint is that they don't come in solid colors. Otherwise best hankies I've ever had.

Having the snot-rag extraordinaire (SRE) in my back pocket makes me feel ready for anything. When it's hot, the SRE is big enough to absorb a heavy sweat and after drying off in the pocket for a while, it's ready for more. When the sinuses are acting up, the plaid pattern don't highlight past deposits like white handkerchiefs do. The SRE is terrific.

size is good, not tiny like the designer 'hankies' or huge like a bandana size

My father is so hard to shop for. I remembered him saying he needed a hat so I jumped on line. Found the hat and then saw the hankies. My dad still uses them everyday!! A comment someone else left made me go ahead a buy him a pack..........Fast forward 4 weeks............my dad WILL NOT use any other hankie (and he has a ton of them!) Momma said I needed to jump on a buy 2 more packs of 6 cause she has to wash more often!!! These are amazing. Dad loves the soft touch but manly look!! Perfect!!

These plaid handkerchiefs look good. Simple and elegant and a touch of whimsy: you won't want to hide them too deeply in your pockets. They are rugged and can handle a full days worth of your worst sinus infection- drop it in your laundry at the end of the day and they get even better. Yes, they are soft and easy on your nose and when you whip one out to address the neighbor's kid's runny nose, his mother is going to regard you with a new level of sophistication and bake you a batch of muffins!
