We have searched and tried every item on the market to deal with callouses and dry skin - lotions, files, professional tools etc. Some "sort" of worked, but were messy or over zealous attempts exposed tender skin that took a few days to toughen back up.
This little gizmo was awesome! Got the job done in minutes. Was safe, simple, easy and quick. The item caught the dry skin that it removed for easy disposal. It had a cover to protect the microplane blades during storage. Although a bit pricey, it was definitely worth it. We have probably spent at least this much on other products that were unsatisfactory. And we doubtfully will ever need to buy another product as this one does the job! If you are plagued with dry skin build up on your tootsies, you have to get one of these!!!

I've been tempted to plug in my belt sander to remove the thick callused skin on the bottom of my feet for years but I figured that it might create too much heat. :) lol

I've tried everything. Soaking my feet for hours helps but is temporary at best. I've used all kinds of coarse files and sanding sticks specific to this task but NOTHING has ever worked as good as this Microplane Foot FIle from Duluth! This neat little device works like a cheese grader and removed more dead skin in 2 minutes than I could have removed with the belt sander in :20, SERIOUSLY!

I've had some thick callused skin with very deep cracks in the heels of my feet for many, many years as far back as my high school days from all the various sports I played, and then ad the 30 years of wearing steel toed construction boots and you can begin to imagine the severity of my problem.

Now, the bottoms of my feet are as soft as a baby's behind and I can actually tell what kind of floor surface I am walking on in my bare feet again! I can feel things with my feet (like our thick plush pile carpeting) that I haven't felt in many years! What a comfortable difference it has made in walking on any surface and in any kind of shoe.

This device is a little bit pricey for what it is but NOT for what it does. The protective lid when removed and placed on the back of the device provides a catch basin to store the dead skin particles until your ready to empty it. A clever design and worth every penny.

I have callous buildup behind the small toe on each foot that becomes a bit painful at times. This product works better than any other method I've tried to periodically remove that buildup.

great foot file. I have nasty feet (big toes). I used this on my toes and heels and it works great
