Wanted a tool sharpener I actually had handy when I was sharpening my tools, and this one fit the bill. Compact and easy-to-use. Carry in a toolbox or pocket. Sharpening shovels and trowels thus far.

    doesn't work for garden clippers

    COMMENTS:

I wanted these to sharpen my hand clippers but the clippers don't open all the way, so the sharpener can't get into the part of the blade that is used most. I haven't tried the tool on shovels or spades.

        COMMENTS:

I bought this because I had some backyard digging to do, and past experience taught me that digging is a lot easier with a well sharpened shovel. In the past I used a rasp file but this tool makes it much easier.

          COMMENTS:

The sharpener works best on smaller things like pocket knives and light weight tools. It seems like the sharpener would wear out very quickly if used on larger tools. Ergonomically it a pleasure to use and is quick and efficient.
