This is by far the Best Jacket I've ever owned.
It is going on 18 months that I've had my Whaleback jacket and it still keeps me dry and warm! I'm lucky if other rain coats last 6 months. We build fence and often find ourselves a couple miles around the back side of an airport, at that point I want a jacket I can count on, this is that jacket!
I've had almost every other brand and style of rain wear, none function as well or are as rugged as this coat. Perfect on those days that it is 35 degrees and rain....

I've been a fishing guide in East texas for 33 years and fish in all kinds of weather during the winter and early spring. I'm always' looking for outer clothing that is dry and warm the whaleback jacket is one of the best I've owned to date. Wish they made the pants in a bib style.

THE SINGLE GREATEST Jacket of ALL TIME. I live in NYC and the weather here for the last few months have been unpredictable to say the least. I have owned this jacket for the last few years. I look forward to wearing it every year, Winter can't come soon enough sometimes. I work outside most of the day, I have worn jacket this through rain, snow, sleet, ice, hail, wind, and whatever NYC throws at you. It has been great through every single weather event. I have worn this in under 20 degree weather (with appropriate layering) and it has kept me warm and dry through and through. It is durable through every inch of this jacket. I do manual labor;I lift boxes and cargo;I run errands around town;I travel on foot through and against the weather and there's only a few scruffs on the sleeves, the velcro is a bit loose, but otherwise it's almost like new. And Duluth's trademark versatility is unmatched. I have a use for every single pocket;from my cellphone, to money, wallet, cigs/lighter, receipts, and paperwork etc., etc. And guess what? I look fantastic while doing all that. I have had so many comments asking me about this jacket;what color is that? How much does that jacket go for? Where can I get one? How many pockets are there? And on the days that I don't work? I wash it and wear it to dinner, hang out with the guys, go on trips. I wear this jacket EVERYWHERE for EVERYTHING in the Winter. This single jacket has replaced EVERY outerwear I have ever owned. I am a heavy set guy, 5"8', 200 pounds, 38-40 inch waist (i wear XL). It's not easy finding jackets that fit, looks great, comfortable, and great for work and leisure. But this jacket does it all. I can't say enough good things about this jacket. If you work outdoors, this is a MUST. If you're just looking for a great jacket, this is more than you can ever ask for. And for less than $100? This is a STEAL.

I am happy to have purchased this jacket as it is warm even when wearing only a short sleeved shirt underneath. I am 6' 2" 224lbs with 37" arm length. This jacket in a Large Tall fits me great. It is warm in the rain and cold.

I needed a jacket to go snow mobiling in canda with, and not owning a jacket. I looked up a few sledding jackets and to my surprise they were very pricey. I looked at the whale back steamer jacket and wondered for such a cheap price would it work in colder weather (as cold as -10). Too my surprise i was more than pleased with the jacket, I wore a thermal under my t-shirt with the whaleback and i was more than warm. Were as my friends looked to be going on a trek in the North pole with all there gear on. The price of the jacket and the preformance of it in such cold temps puts duluth on the map. BEST JACKET EVER

I bouht the jacket to wear to New York in February. I took it for a "test run" in 40 degree weather in SoCal and froze. Even with two layers of fleese I was still cold. It's advertised as -5 to -15 degrees. I don't see how. It's a great windbreaker, but in no way a winter jacket.

It's funny, as when you are a consultant they never send you to Yuma AZ in the winter or Saskatchewan in the summer. When I took the job in Saskatchewan in January I knew my current Arizona winter wear wouldn't be enough. I bought the MN Insulated Whaleback Jacket for the task hoping to use it in Canada and in Arizona. It did the trick for me. Last week I was in Moosomin CA, it was -40, and I was comfortable. Today I am in Arizona, it is 40 above and I am not hot. The coat was the ticket for me. I do layer but a t-shirt, shirt, double barrel henley and the jacket was way too much. I am sold on Duluth Trading merchandise and quality.

This coat does EXACTLY what Duluth says!! It's warm, waterproof and windproof!! "The BEST jacket I've ever had!" This very same jacket was purchased for my husband and he LOVES it because of it's performance so our son had to have one as well for the same reason and neither one regrets the purchase!

I was skeptical when I opened the package because the coat was so lightweight. But I was more than pleasantly suprised when I wore it first in driving rain and a cold wind. Soon after I wore it in snow and zero degree windy temps. Simply cinch up the bottom and this is one truly waterproof, windproof and very warm cost for such a lightweight article. And it's a very tough fabric too. The Whaleback is truly everything it's advertised to be and then some. Very impressed!
