I wear this jacket from November through March on my 2-1/2 mile walk home from work every night.

When you team it up with a knit hat, something to cover your neck, and leather shell gloves for your hands, as long as you keep walking, you could make it through just about anything. Wind is a big concern for me, unless I'm wearing this jacket. I'm hoping to get at least 10 years use out of it.

I have two concerns about this thing;
1. The front pockets are horizontal. I stuff my hat in one side and my gloves in the other, so they like to fall out if I'm not using them. This jacket needs combination horizontal and vertical pockets. I'd use the verticals for my hat and gloves.
2. The lining is cotton. If it were to get wet from snow, rain or sweat, it would get very cold in a hurry. It probably won't last as long as the firehose outer. I'd much prefer to change the lining to a wool blanket. It would be a little warmer, and would stay warm even if it got wet.

I got my jacket as a tall, even though I'm not, so it would more than cover my rear end. That definitely adds to the warmth and I recommend doing so.

I purchased this jacket/coat last fall. I waited until now to write this to use the coat through the winter. I wear it a lot and it is warm! I like all the pockets, as you can never have to many pockets. I like how it is really wind proof. Blowing hard and it doesn't get in. I like the fire hose material, durable. This is now my favorite cold weather coat.

My brother bought this as a Christmas gift. He knew I would love it. He has several. I can see why. I will be buying anthother next fall when size and color are available. Worth every penny. Without a doubt the best jacket I have in the closet. I hope they don't stop selling this item! Not once was I cold this winter!

I got this coat to use mainly for work. It fits great, provides the freedom of movement I need. and is extremly warm.

My teen usually destroys a coat a season, not this one. Very heavy duty durable coat, high quality material, extreme zipper, and really well designed. He loves all the pockets.

I had to return the first jacket because this is a true sized jacket. Dont order 1 size larger because the 2X is just that.

I use this jacket every time it gets below 35 out, and I don't have to worry about what kind of weather Mother Nature throws at me. I know I'll be warm, dry, and able to move around without any effort. The flexibility is wonderful, and the extra pockets really help. I have no complaints at all about this jacket.

Was looking for another style, but my first pick was sold out. This item was my second pick. I use it for riding my motorcycle in cold weather. Totally satisfied. Great fit and allows for easy movement.
