Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Flannel-lined Fire Hose Fatigue Coat:

I am already a fan of Duluth Trading Company's products because of their durability and quality. This jacket is no exception. As with most of their products, the design enhances range of motion over what many competing products offer. For just a flannel liner, it is surprisingly warm. The fire hose canvas shell blocks wind quite well and is treated to be water resistant (though not waterproof). It's already the first jacket I reach for on a cold day. I haven't encountered any extreme conditions with it yet but it's very comfortable at 17° F with 35 MPH winds.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Flannel-lined Fire Hose Fatigue Coat:

This is possibly the best winter coat I've owned. Last winter was the first time I thought it got truly bitterly cold in Maryland. I previously had another brand that combined a fleece with some nylon hardshell. But that proved to be not very good as I'd still feel extra cold while wearing it. last year, towards the end of the season I found this coat and it looked interesting, so I bought it. So far this season its proved itself thoroughly. Admittedly it doesn't get super cold in MD, but we had a couple of cold snaps where it did dip into the single and very low double digits. This coat pulled me through with no problems. Its incredibly warm and retains heat extremely well. I had a few occasions where I'd have to unzip the coat a bit to vent. If anything I'd only adjust two things. 1) the flannel portion that goes to the chest ties, move that lower down the torso. 2) add a kind of Collar, I'm not a big scarf guy, but I'm glad I have a neck gaiter, cause there's a good sized gap between the last snap and the hood that cool air sneaks through.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Flannel-lined Fire Hose Fatigue Coat:

I needed a new hoodie, and i also needed something for 30 degrees. all i had was a too-small sherpa-lined hoodie and a pea coat. the pea coat was too warm, the hoodie was too small. this product is just right. surprisingly enough, you can wear this comfortably in room temperature conditions if you don't zip it up all the way/at all. plus, it has 2 interior pockets which i think they don't tell you about on the website, for a total of 8 pockets. the flannel lining is nice and soft, and most importantly warm. the fire hose canvas is nowhere near as stiff as other materials, not to say that it is anything like the comfort of fleece. it is a bit heavy, but i don't mind the weight much. it's like a big waterproof blanket. i don't ski or do any hardcore mountain climbing, but this probably isn't what you're looking for if you want something for that. it's an amazing coat, and you should definitely pick one up! this was a gift.
