Shrink and are unuasable after getting wet.

      By Old squid

      About Me Professional

      COMMENTS:

Because of poor circulation in a finger that got partially sawed off, that finger get's cold if it is not warmed by the adjacent fingers in a mitton. I had been looking for some good trigger finger gloves so that I could still keep the finger warm but still have use of my trigger finger and thumb. I thought that these golves would be perfect, and Initially they were. But, after using them for an extended period on a snowblower and them getting wet, the leather shrunk up and hardened to the point that I couldn't use them. I even tried working mink oil into the to loosen them up but no luck. So while I think they are good warm gloves don't get them soaking wet or you'll won't be wearing them again.

      COMMENTS:

I bought this Mitts to survive Yellowknife's harsh weather - did a trip during the 2nd week of Jan '16 and just got back last week. Temperature range was around minus 29-30c with windchill going up to minus 38-40c. Overall the mittens does its job fairly well in keeping my hands warm. the only thing that needs improvement is the sewing for the liners. they are not the same size in the sense that the left hand is larger than the right hand. would have hoped that they are more 'identical' in nature. the liner material also gets scratched easily - be careful with velcros!

      COMMENTS:

My husband uses these to snow blow-great combination of mitten and glove for warmth, dryness and dexterity. Only complaint is size runs small. We had to exchange the medium (his usual size) for a large.
