I like this item, it helps keep me cool when walking, on vacation when I am out all day in the sun, at home working on projects. Its not too big or clumsy, looks like a simple neck scarf, easy to use. Works best when allowed to soak for a few minutes, and I put it in the fridge over night so its nice and cold for the next day, adds an extra element of cooling to the product's effectiveness. Great, practical product, I use it a lot.

This newer stye is narrower. I submitted a review based on the old style as I gave them as gifts. After talking with my father, he called my attention to the fact that it isn't as wide as the old style (there were 2 sections of polymer beads) and does not hold the coolness as long as the old style. After I used my new one, I saw what he meant- while it is still helpful, & does keep you cool longer than without the neck band - the new version just isn't as helpful as the old style.
