Comments about Winter Hats - Albert's Thermal-lined Hat:
Nice hat that lives up to the high Duluth Trading standards. Very well built and warm. It had a few wrinkles from packaging, but I think they will flatten out with a little more time.
The sizing is quite large so be sure to order one size smaller than you normally would.

nice high crown, w/ good insulation, broad brim repels rainwater away from neck and keeps my face dry; stays in place and looks dashing

Great hat, and it fits perfectly, but that's the problem, I based the size with a balaclava on and it's a perfect fit without it on.

It's me again. After returning the 'large' the Extra-Large arrived yesterday. WOW ! What a difference a size makes. It's as though this hat was custom made just for me. I really like the lining. I looked at alot of hats leading up to this purchase and I haven't found anyone else that does the lining in this type of hat.
Hey Duluth, I'm glad you bumped into Albert and had that chat. Merry Christmas and a better 2012.

Comments about Winter Hats - Albert's Thermal-lined Hat:
Best winter hat I've ever owned! Brim is wide enough to keep the sleet & rain off my face while the crown's fleece lining keeps the ol' bald head warm. I wear an ear band when it's very cold--could this hat include fold down ear flaps in next version?

Comments about Winter Hats - Albert's Thermal-lined Hat:
Going by DTC's sizing chart, This hat should fit,
but it doesn't. It sits right up on top of my head. I ordered a Large and will be returning it.
Otherwise, the construction appears to be exactly what you would expect from anything sold by DTC and I really like the lining, a very nice plus.
There aren't alot of sizing issues with the other reviewers so this is likely just a fluke.

Comments about Winter Hats - Albert's Thermal-lined Hat:
I walk shelter dogs regardless of weather. With winter officially two months away I needed a hat to keep my head warm and my eyeglasses dry. I think this hat will do the job. It's a little too warm for walking in 40 degree weather with no wind. Can I get back to you after our first snow mixed with freezing rain? :)
The XXL size fits perfectly on my 7 7/8 size head.
The brim can be easily shaped to shade my eyes from the sun, no matter which direction it is.
The chin strap is nothing but an annoyance so far. It has kinks that keep it from hanging freely. It gets hung up on my glasses and my ears. The slider doesn't have enough friction to keep the strap adjusted. We often have winds of > 30 mph here in the high desert. I'm going to try to find a better slider.
