My dad was using this hat regularly during his chemo treatments. He was extremely cold all the time, and this hat Absolutely kept him warm.
It keeps the wind out, and keeps him warm.
Unfortunately -he lost it, and the hat is no longer available. I would love to get him another from anyone, As we have not found a better hat.
The companion shoreman's fleece jacket is superior in keeping him warm, and the wind Out.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a warm hat. My only complaint is it really doesn't breathe. I can see how, but that kind of relegates it to be a niche item (aka not everyday) for me.
