    Very nice coat

    By Mk

    from Michigan

    Pros

    • Confortable
    • Durable
    • Lots of pockets

    Cons

    • not enough color choices

    Best Uses

This is a great coat perfect for what I wanted. I did not want the elastic cuff or a hood so this is perfect. I will use this for spring and fall.
For me the coldest I am comfortable with this is around 25 deg without any wind. For warmth im usually good without a coat around 60 deg and this does good up to that temp, exactly what I was looking for. I just wear a t-shirt under my coat, there is enough room for a hoodie or something like that but the sleves might be a little tight.

Men's Fire Hose Iron Range Coat

        By Nyteize

        from Chicago, IL

        Pros

        • Plenty of pockets
        • Warm

        Cons

        • Tight

        Best Uses

        • CASUAL WEAR

The coat is heavy as expected. It keeps you warm but it does not keep out the wind. The coat feels tight in places....the advertising model was wearing a tee shirt. I put the coat on over a fleece lined fire hose work shirt with a long tail tee underneath. I coud barely fasten the zipper. When I put my whaleback gloves in any of the pockets, the coat became very tight but I could move my arms.

That aside, the coat should be advertised as for spring and fall, when layering is not required. It is still a good coat, mostly for the pockets.

I really like this coat, it stops the wind, keeps me warm and has lots of pockets but, I really don't like the zipper, it should be stronger and the tab should be larger!

Solid Coat Lots of Big Pockets

        By Habitat-for-Humanity Guy

        Verified Buyer

        Pros

        • Large Buttons
        • Large Snap Closures
        • Pockets and more pockets

        Cons

        • No Cross-throat Piece

        Best Uses

        • General Cold-weather Wear
        • Working in cold weather

Terrific cold-weather jacket. I love all the large, roomy pockets inside and outside. Jacket is heavy because material is really tough. Also reasonably water-repellent. The one thing lacking -- which Duluth Trading puts on its Fire Hose Field jacket -- is a buttoning piece across the throat to keep wind out.

        Great coat

        By Chadillac

        from Seattle, WA

        Verified Buyer

        Pros

        • Flexible
        • Great length
        • Tough

        Cons

        • Lacking Elastic Cuffs
        • No Provisions For Hood

        Best Uses

        • Work

The coat is surprisingly flexible for how tough and heavy duty it is. The fit is great!

A couple things that have me going to my waterproof cotton carrhart instead are the lack of elastic cuffs at the wrist which let drafts in, and the lack of hood provisions for keeping the rain out.

Overall a very nice, very tough coat!

        Great jacket

Very roomy, had to exchange the XXL for an XL. Too big and sleeves were too long. My grandson has large shoulders but a small wasit, It was exchanged without a problem and delivelry was expedient.

I bought this jacket for my boyfriend for Christmas. It has become his favorite jacket already! Looks sharp on him and it's warm enough for northern MN winters. Perfect length too.
