                  USE:
I use this coat for work, and it is excellent on that front. It wears well even into warmer temperatures (at least for me). Holds up to rain very well, and has survived a few barbed-wire encounters unscathed.

                  FIT:
I was most worried about this when I bought the coat. I'm 6'2", 185 lbs. so I'm technically in the Tall category, but otherwise I'm right at the upper end of the Regular Medium measurements. I went ahead and ordered a Regular Medium with plans to exchange for a Large Tall if I needed to. I didn't, I really liked the fit of the Regular.

So if you are wondering whether to go with Regular or Tall (especially if you land in the Medium category for which there is no Tall), it depends on what you're looking for. On me, the Regular fits exactly like an athletic cut coat. The front comes down just a few inches below my waistline. Because of this, it won't bunch at the hip when I bend or squat down (which is crucial for me). Also because of this, if I need to get in really extreme positions (reaching as far as I can overhead or bending at the waist as far as I can) then I can expect to feel some cold where the coat has come above my waistline. I imagine that the Tall comes down a few more inches and might have the opposite issue for me--bunches but keeps me covered (though I can't say for sure as I haven't tried a Tall on). For me, the trade-off was worth it.

Overall, whether you need a Regular or a Tall, buy this coat! The quality is excellent, it's extremely warm, and it can work as long as you do.

                  Best in the Buisness

                      Best Uses

Best in the business. I'm outside everyday and this is the best coat I've had. Its lightweight compared to other coats and has heavy duty construction though out. The double zipper is nice and big, so you can even grab it with gloves on. The pockets are fleece lined to keep your hands warm. It has a heavy loop on the back to hang it on a hook, and it won't rip like other one always do.

The best thing about this coat is its flexibility. Right out of the box it was loose and I had complete range of motion. It also doesn't ride up on you and will keep you covered.

I found myself buying at least a couple different of coats a year for work and other outdoor activities, and this is the first one I have found that thought was put into it and is really a nice piece.

                        Another Duluth hit!

I had an interest and looked at this jacket a year or two ago in the Bloomington store and didn't even try it on. It just looked like a popular brand (Cword) wannabe, so I hung it back up. This year I wanted to take another look at this jacket so I stopped at your new Fridley store and tried it on. Hmmm. Comfy, substantial without being too thick or heavy. Very flexible unlike the Cword brand. Nice pocket layout. And it was a 20% off sale so I went for it.

Now after wearing it for a couple weeks in the windy cold snap we are having here in the flatlands of South Dakota (don't let the South part fool you) and I am well impressed. It cuts the wind, is warm. The pocket layout is very good. I own lots of coats (to my wife's dismay) and this one has the best pocket layout. I don't yet use the sleeve pockets but I like them anyways. The two outer lower pockets are lined with fleece and feel good on cold hands and are cut correctly near the sides so keys don't fall out, and hold a pair of work gloves. The inside pockets are nice. I have a pen, mini flashlight, notepad and neck gaiter in the double pockets on the left inner side and a bandana in the right side. They can also hold a small compact pistol quite well. I also like the Napoleon zip pocket on the outside upper left chest as I tend to keep my cell there or the right inner depending on the cold, but have yet to use the flap pocket on the upper right outer chest.

The length of the jacket and arms are perfect for me. I bought the Large Regular. I am 5' 10" and 192 lbs, 46" chest and wear 38" waist Duluth pants. The front of the jacket rides about 3" below my belt buckle and the back covers about 3/4 my bum. The sleeves extend to the thick padding at the base of my thumb, which is perfect for me. And they don't crawl up my arms when reaching out due to the shoulder gussets. Nice. The inner stretch cuff is 2-3" long and also has a ?nylon? sleeve that is also 3-4" long that goes up inside the main outer sleeve. This works great for gloves as they do not interfere near as much with the sleeve as the Cword brand.

The stand up collar is also fleece lined and feels good on the neck when zipped against the cold and wind, but will also lay down well if you put a hooded sweatshirt underneath.

I am well pleased with this jacket.
Did I mention warm? I was out on my route last night at +1F with a 17 mph wind and with the neck zipped up was quite comfy.

If this jacket was to be improved, I would suggest the following:
                        1. Add a zip on or snap on hood. Either way, but be sure it is removable.
                        2. Add a mesh pocket with elasticized top to the inside lower, on each side of the zipper. This allows easier carry of my Wooly Mammoth cap.
                        3. Add the rear zipper pocket on the back similar to the Iron Range coat. Could serve the same purpose as item 2.
                        4. Replace the front outside upper patch flapped pocket with another Napoleon zip pocket.

                        Good job Duluth folks!

This is a great coat for anything you want to do. I'm a rancher and it can do anything I can do. I only have 2 issues with this coat. One, the Zipper is plastic, and 2, no draw string to tighten up in windy weather. But other than that, This coat is great. I still love it.

I'm planning on using this as my winter coat when I have to do outside work such as snow removal and other winter property maintainence as well as for when I go on frequent mountain bike rides throughout the winter months.
I like the toughness and durability of the fabric, it's functional design that allows ease of movement, the many pockets and the warmth. I like the way the two way zippers work, that the collar can be zipped all the way up around the neck and the elastic cuffs in the sleeves to block cold air.
