Men's Superior Work Vest

I've worn the C brand vests for 25 years in heavy construction, and they get ratty after a season or two. This vest is warmer, lighter weight and way more durable. The sizing and placement of the pockets is great. Wallet, notebook, cell phone, sunglasses, pens, pencils, hardhat liner, keys, etc. I work outdoors in Western New York and wear this vest over a shoreman's fleece all winter. Perfect comfort and flexibility!

Not pleased at all - the quality is not what it used to be, seems like it lost some rugged durability in the quest for lighter weight? IDK, anyway way we exchanged it for last years version, which is slight better.

My wife bought this vest for me for my birthday and the timing was perfect. It was colder here in Southern California than it was on the same day in Plattsburg, New York! The collar is one of it's many great features as it is just the right height and keeps the wind out but is not too bulky. The zipper is the best in quality on any vest or jacket that I own as it is large enough to grasp even when wearing gloves. The pockets are well placed and comfortable as well as being useful. My only complaint is that it has warmed up and I can't wear it everyday!

My son, the plumber, was really pleased to see the vest at Christmas. Still has the old one I got him from LLB many years ago! Believe me, he needed a new one, though it was still functional. It provides him warmth and still allows him to move as he works. Nothing bad to say about it.

I have been using this vest for about a week and it has quickly become my go-to outerwear for running around. The vest is surprisingly warm given it's lack of bulk and weight. However, the website description lacks some of the finer points that I have found make this a great buy.

The napoleon pocket is lined with a fleece material - perfect to prevent scratching lenses or screens. The hand-warmer pockets are lined with the same material, but only on one side, the body-side of the pockets are the same canvas material, but there is no loss of comfort - just a disclaimer. The only downside to the hand-warmer pockets is that there is no easy way to remove snow/drain melted snow.

It's not shown but there are interior jacket pockets on both sides of the vest, the right one is a simple jacket pocket, the left is the one displayed in the photos. The left one has one big pocket latched behind the smaller pockets. For better size comparisons, the latched pocket can fit a 3.5"x 5.5" notebook easily - I have fit a pocket-nine pistol in there but access was an issue. The smaller pocket is perfect for either a folding pocket knife or a spare magazine (or similar sized items). The pen pockets can fit up to a regular size permanent market, anything larger and it'll be a tight fit.

The vent-latch is surprisingly useful, especially if you're getting in and out of a vehicle a lot as it will prevent it from swinging. In addition, it can snap to the either side of the jacket so that if it's not in use then it's not in the way and by virtue of it being a snap enclosure, if the jacket gets snagged on something the latch will open.

For those worried about the elastic arm gussets cinching your arms or clothing I have yet to notice them. They are unobtrusive yet effective at keeping wind out.

The last bit is that the iron-ore color is a dark grey shade that personally looks more like a dark/forest green under most lighting. It's not a detractor, in fact I like the color better, but something to consider if you really want a grey vest.

Love this vest, would surely buy another, "IF" it would ever need
replacing.

Bought this for my nephew. As soon as he opened his present he put it on and left with it on! Love the thought process to detail in this vest! I bought it because of its warmth construction and arm flexibility for outdoor work. Thank you!
