Got these for my husband. He wears through a pair of gloves every winter and, by seasons end, I have to defrost his hands every time he comes in from snow blowing.
My father-in-law used these types of gloves when he was in the Navy back in the 40's and swears by the functionality of the mitten/glove hybrid. Darn it -- if he wasn't spot on!
The mitten aspect keeps your hands warm. The independent thumb/forefinger gives you the ability to actually do something -- really handy in the middle of a snow storm.
The glove is actually 2 layers so you could, in theory, use them separately.
The only down side is the sizing. I bought a large and while my hands aren't exactly dainty, a man's large should not have been tight on my hands. I had to order my husband a size larger and they are still a tad snug on the wrists but heck, he wasn't cold so he's not complaining!!

I use the gloves when riding my motorcycle. The gloves keep my hands warm in 30 degree temps at 65-70mph. They are easy to put on and remove.

Bought these for wearing while snowmobiling. Not the warmest but they are certainly good, durable gloves. Order one size up as mine (medium) are very snug and hard to put on.
My hands always get cold when operating the snowblower. These are the best I have tried thus far for this task.

I needed a good set of mittens. I looked over many different kinds and bought the yellowknife trigger mittens. I have not been disappointed. They are versatile. I usually need mittens and gloves. The Yellowknife mittens are the best of both worlds.
These have an inner glove that allows you to use your mobile phone or other device, They have a draw cord around the wrist to keep snow and cold out, Hubby loved them. They are great for working out in cold or wet weather. He is able to use his cordless tools while wearing them.
Used the gloves for the first time today. It was 17 degrees plus wind chill.
My hands always get cold no matter what gloves I have ever used.
That changed today. I used them for snow blowing my hands were warm when
I finished.
Thanks for a great pair of gloves!!
P.S. my shoremans fleece with hood and fire hose coveralls kept me toasty dispute wind chill of about zero. Keep the great products coming .
