Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Apron Work Pants with Utility Pockets:

I bought these pants mainly for mechanical work. I attend an airplane mechanics school in my hometown, called Build A Plane, and the pouches are perfect for carrying small tools and parts. My only complaint is I wish the pouches were situated on the sides of the pants, instead of the front, so when you kneel down stuff doesn't fall out. Other than that, these are great pants.

I chose these to try out the work apron pockets and knee pad panels. No more sliding a garden kneeling pad around on floors or uncomfortable strap on knee pads . Tape measure and whatever is handy in the apron pockets and a light lighter than a regular tool belt. Plenty of pockets for anything you might need to have on you. Material looks like it will out last all other work pants. Looking forward to having these a long time.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Apron Work Pants with Utility Pockets:

The apron bags a great to be able to add or remove as the need arises. I wish the outer pockets on the apron would be a bit deeper. The other pockets on the pants are great. I put them all to good uses in my trade as a Handyman.
The built in pockets for the removable knee pads are great. These allow for not having to put or strap external knee pads on, not to tighten straps for the knee pads & chafe the back of your knees and no more having the knee pads fall down & to be re-adjusted in your work. Out of all the times I knelt, out of a 100 times, with these internal knee pads I think only once did my knee not hit the center of the comfortable pads. Maybe the built in pockets for the knee pad could have some adjustment to keep the pad centered inside?

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Apron Work Pants with Utility Pockets:

Electrical work, great deep pockets, the apron pockets are deep enough to when you kneel down, all the contents of the apron pouches don't wind up on the floor. Can use a hammer loop centered just above cheeks of butt, or wider hammer loops on side of pants.
Need to rethink the thigh pockets for cell phones, they are getting bigger, and your pocket sizes need to keep up with technology.
The 100% of the time knee pads are incredible and just the right amount when you have to kneel down and (pray) work on low level projects.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose Apron Work Pants with Utility Pockets:

I'm not a carpenter or contractor by trade, but recently bought an old historic home that we're restoring and I have practically lived in these pants since they arrived. They are very comfortable - much more than you'd expect in pants this durable.
With all of the pockets there's plenty of room to keep all the screws, tacks, nails and tools you need for a project and the button-off apron pockets make it easy to swap things out from one project to the next.
The knee pad slots are a HUGE benefit working in low places where you kneel; the knee pads are always right where you want them and they don't get in the way.
If I could wear these to my day job I would!

These pants are awesome, I am a carpenter and so far I have found only one fault, the hammer loop is too small. Since I am a perfectionist (just ask my helpers) that speaks vollumes. I love the fact that I no longer need a tool belt and that the knee pads are built in and work well. I will be buying a few more pairs. Thank you Duluth. Now lets work on making some shorts to match! Savannah Ga gets warm in the summer.
