Cons

  • Wish They Had Flaps

Best Uses

Best work pants I've every purhased. The fit, comfort and feautres are the best of any I have every had. I wish they had flaps for the back pockets. I own a pair of dry on the fly that have the flaps. Wish they had those types of flaps on the Ulitmate Flex. After I am done writing this; I am buying another pair. I even recomended these to a friend who's an electrician, whose always looking for a better pair of work pants.

I work as a RR freight conductor. Lot of sitting with bouts of long walks. Even climbing up and down from railroad cars is easy in these pants. Super comfortable and durable.

Great for a moderate climate. Since I wanted to keep for casual wear, I avoided all the nasty places I would have went with these pants. Tomorrow they will be used to cut the Thanksgiving Day Turkey (Canada)

The pants are built well and good for building things from a play house for the grand kids or a big job. Will wear for years of work.

          • True to size fit

          Cons

            Best Uses

            • Knee Pad Pockets Built In
            • Work pants

I love the pants & the built in knee pad pockets. But the pads are a little big for the pocket, & need to be trimmed down a bit ~ as shipped, they pads broke the velcro secure loose when kneeling.

            Online sizes wrong or misleading

              Cons

                Best Uses

Beware of the sizes listed online. Went with a larger 36x34 as I had heard it shrinks in the wash. Arrived and would hardly button. Did a quick mesure of the waist band and it came in at 33 7/8's. Double checked the stamp in the back and it states 36x34. Not sure if it was a dud or not. Either way out the 6.95 return fee.

                  Cons

                    Best Uses

I now have 2 pair. Wear them 3-5 days between washing.

I use the extensive pockets every day, the tool kit most days, and the knee pads some days,

                      I am 70. Been wearing men's work pants since I was 16.
These are the best for me.

I manage the service department of a local plumbing contractor. These pants allow me to maintain a very professional look, while giving me impressive mobility for crawling under houses.

                          • Pricey
                          • Tight Right After Washing

                          Best Uses

                          • As pants
                          • Deep Lunges
                          • Sassy High Kicks

First, when anyone charges $70+ for a pair of work pants you bring a high level of nit-picking onto yourself. So positives - they are really super flexible, more than you can imagine especially if you are used to normal jeans or the like as work pants, I really liked how flexible theyare. As for the front pockets, the cut for access is along the top parallel with the waist instead of down the side. Unfortunately that's where pros kind of stop, the cons might not be deal breakers for some but I am comparing the ultimate flex with the regular fire hose pants (and features I came to rely upon) no tape loop? I usually hang my knife and it's clip in the tape loop found on the non-flex pants. They fit well, true to size, but are tight after washing. The feeling fragile part is they feel thinner and just don't feel like they are going to hold up so well over the long haul compared to non-flex. The velcro side tool bag loops are big and would get in the way of a regular tool belt with bags. The back pocket flaps come on non-flex fire hose. The flex kind do not have these flaps, get over it! you say, we'll for me those back pocket flaps kept all manner of debris out of those pockets and out of my wallet. The price is a hard thing to overcome now that I know they are not exactly like the ultimate fire hose pant just flexible. I may not be ordering a second pair after all this.
