Cons

  • Not Enough Pockets or Features

Best Uses

Comments about Men's Fire Hose Bib Overalls:

These are comfortable, good fitting, functional work wear! I will purchase more; however, I found the bib cell phone pocket to small and poorly located. Persperation condenses on the phone and the phone is difficult to get out of the pocket. The addition of a left side pocket below the regular pocket, similar to some of the other fire hose pants is a much better design. There is also an annoying problem with my billfold falling out of the rear pants pocket and onto the restroom floor. Deeper rear pockets might resolve that issue. Overall a great product though.

Cons

  • Straps are a bit to long

Best Uses

Comments about Men's Fire Hose Bib Overalls:

Absolutely the best bibs ever. The second set of side buttons adds room for us rounder guys. The inseam length is right on, finally I don't have to cuff the legs. The straps while a tad long stay put for me so far.

The only change I'd make would be to make the velcro pocket larger to hold an iPhone.

Tough comfortable pants, love the stain treatment, elastic straps are great for working without castration. That's hard to find for powerlifter's frame.

Comments about Men's Fire Hose Bib Overalls:

I have been an oilfield engineer for +30 years and thus spend a lot of my "work time" outside in all kinds of weather. These bibs are very durable and are tightly woven, so they help stop the cold wind. They allow comfortable bending & squatting to get into those "difficult places" on a drilling rig. I'm very pleased with them and will buy more - IF I ever wear these out!

Comments about Men's Fire Hose Bib Overalls:

I wear bibs daily...to, at and from work. They are quite comfortable. I particularly enjoy wearing them while on my motorcycle. They've proven a decent ability to wick precipitation and have allowed me to avoid donning the rain gear a time or two. The stink: strap design is rather lacking. More firehose and less elastic please. Unless you want to constantly re-adjust your straps...you're gonna want to "customize" them. Sure, the straps won't be adjustable...but it doesn't bother me. Yeah, "Brand X" makes a fine product...but the material is rigid...RIGID. I own sets of both brands and when I go to grab a pair, I prefer these firehose bibs.

          Not up to Duluth Quality

Comments about Men's Fire Hose Bib Overalls:

I do carpentry/woodworking work & thought the ample pocket space and heavy cloth would be better than my denim overalls. I found the Duluth overalls excessively baggy. I agree with most of the other one-star rating comments. A particular weakness is the straps. Yes, they are too long, adding to the bagginess, but they already show signs of failure and I have only worn these things two months. While the overalls are heavy material, the straps, unlike any overalls I have seen, are elastic. They stretch excessively, particularly when the pockets are full. I would project that these overalls will be unwearable in 6 months. My secondary use was going to be to cover my wetsuits on working scuba dives (in underwater archaeology projects), but the sag from the straps would prevent that. Looks like [$] down the drain.
