They are ok snaps came off first pair. Contacted dtc promptly replaced. It takes awhile to break the material in like all heavy duty stuff.

Here in S. Florida I've worn one pair daily for more than a year and was delighted to find them back in stock (bought 2 more). I've cycled more than 4000 miles in them with no signs of wear in the seat. Usually, the first thing to go in my work shorts is the pockets--not these! Duluth, you really got it right this time!

These are great shorts because they don't ride up when you sit down. I also like that the hip pockets have buttons because when I drive my wallet/cellphone/change won't fall out. These shorts have a metal button closure, robust zipper, and sturdy stiching.

Like with DTC workpants, you put these shorts on and marvel at how right DTC gets it.

Living in the South where many of us wear shorts year round I consider my self a bit of a minor expert when it comes to shorts. These are very durable, and yet they look good (and unique) enough to wear around for every day use.
I just took a trip to the Yucatan, and wore these for a three day hike. No tears from cactus or rocks, nor any problem with chaffing or flexibility. My shirts (thus my upper body) did not fair so well.
I'm going to get another pair.

I own the predecessor product (same design, but in a cotton twill) and I would happily buy a pair of these if the range of waist sizes was just a bit wider (if you'll pardon the pun) as I, based on wearing the lighter weight product, would need a 46" waist. C'mon, guys, remember that your target audience are frequently a bit older and may have expanded a bit at the navel in recent years...
