Men's CoolDry Fire Hose 7" Work Short

Just what I have been looking for in a work short. Great durability.

My wife is concerned about my new love.

I got these shorts to wear for summer work clothing, but also with a mind to use them for hiking, climbing on rocks and swimming at the river. So far I am very pleased.

The fabric in this shorts is VERY DURABLE, a detail not really mentioned in the description, which also makes the fabric stiff and inflexible. They would be great for rock climbing or any activity where you need something that can resist abrasion or you have to sit on the ground or concrete a lot.

If you want a heavy-duty pair of work shorts, get these. If you want something more flexible and lighter weight I would look at the Flex Firehose Work Shorts.

I needed a really tough pair of shorts to protect me from chaffing due to the heavy duty holster and belt I wear while competing in handgun shooting events. Cut off jeans didn't do the job. Duluth Fire hose shorts do.

Loved them

I'm a carpenter, so I do a lot of physical stuff- climbing ladders, operating equipment, squatting, lifting. The generous legs and gusseted crotch allow for ease of movement and air circulation. The tough fabric resists abrasion and sheds water and liquids like a ducks' back. I'm a bit sceptical about the longevity of the elastic in the 'comfort waist' with repeated washing and drying, but I've had these shorts for about a month and so far, they've performed exactly as promised! Great colors, too!

Wow! These aren't just shorts, they are serious pieces of equipment! MUCH heavier fabric than I expected and the fit is terriffic (love the stretchy, comfortable expandable waist band). I happen to work in a retail store that sells some men's clothing, including "cargo shorts", and I expect these will outlast the ones we sell (well known brands, by the way) at least 2-to-1. They were a bit stiff at first, but now after two washings they are breaking in and are getting softer and more flexible. I do a lot of squatting and reaching at work so the crotch gusset is also appreciated. BTW, I have recently expanded to a size 36 in most shorts, but because of the expandable waist band in these a 34 is just right. Love 'em!

I wear them everyday, for work in my home-office and for work in my yard. they are comfortable, stain resistant and with nine pockets, very versatile.

The 7inch shorts were great! Very comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the rubber band in the shorts. Makes them way to big.
