I've used these pants for casual wear putzing around the house and yard. Coffee spill dabbed off easily. Resist wrinkles. They washed-up nicely with no evidence of shrinking.

I didn't care for the fit. They were baggier than I thought they would be.The rise was longer than I like and the closed waist was odd. Too bad because they seemed very sturdy and well made.

              Doesn't wear right

              By Andrew K

              • Quality material

              Cons

              • Loose elastic
              • Poor belt design

              Best Uses

These might be right for some people, but the belt does not fasten well, and the pants kept sliding down on me. I also didn't like the fact that the waist was solid (no button above the zipper).

Non-opening waist band and belt bad idea

                  Best Uses

The pants have a belt and waist band that don't open. This makes putting the pants on difficult unless you have no hips or butt to speak of. These are not a cheap pair of sweat pants. For the price, they should most definitley include a belt and waist band that open.

expected these pants to be open at waist with a button closure; however, waist is one piece making them difficult to put on and remove. I also found the waist slides so they always feel like they are dropping. would like regular belt loops and belt.

I love the concept of these pants, a pair of chinos that you can just pull-on. They remind me a bit of the Argentine bombachas (gaucho pants) that I wore as a missionary in the 80s. Not everyone will love these pants. But I do. they are great for so many scenarios. They are definitely good for light jobs (carpentry, woodwork, electrical, washing the car or dog, car maintenance). I say light, because they're nice pants and I'd hate to get paint on them, grease, or ground in dirt. Thus, they are true to the name - puttering. But, they can also pass for something a little nicer. Throw on an oxford or a polo and they work for just about any scenario that's not too dressy. One caution. The sizing is a bit off, which I think is a product of them lumping too many sizes into the same "size". I first got a medium (32-34) and I'm very comfortable in 34s. I wore them around the house for a couple of hours and decided they were just too snug to be comfortable, especially for puttering. And because the waist does not open, the medium was very hard for me to pull on and off. I could barely get them around my hips. So, I opted to exchange for the Large (36-38). I've washed them a few times. They are just a little big on me, but they cinch up nicely (unlike the Souped-Up Sweatpants). Strangely enough, even though I got plenty of room for wearing, they are still a bit snug around the hips when pulling on and off. The zipper is a bit odd in a pair of pants that don't open at the waist, especially because it doesn't seem to go down as far as most zippers.
