This Deluth watch has become a key provision for me. It is great for presentations due to the good rugged looks and easy to read face. The manual that arrived with the watch contained writing to the opposite effects of the advertisement writing on the Deluth website where this watch is billed as super-duty-rugged for work. The manual states that it should be understood to need careful treatment.
I had planned on running it in as my main rough work watch. Having considered the manual's descriptions for use and gotten a feel for the open face (there is no extended bezel for protection as we see on the Berttuchi titanium field watch, etc) I put this fine watch to the slot of meetings, management work and presentations.
Regardless how strong the face cover material may be, this rig cannot be as stout as the Nike digital sports watch that features ledges that protect the face from direct impingment. A solid hit on this watch, to me feels unacceptable, so it is not suitable for heavy work situations that may subject it to real wear.

I bought it as a day to day watch to wear in work or athletic activity, to save my Rolex. It has truly proven to be more than expected. Does not show any dings/scratches in four rough years of use. Oh, by the way it is accurate, mine gains about 1.5 minutes per month. I probably wear the Rolex once a year this watch is just fine at dress up places too.
