Here in the high desert it gets cold when the sun goes down and the wind starts to blow. I have worn this cap every day since I got it. It is a great weight, not too hot or too cold. The fit is spot on, the flex fabric snugs it to my head without feeling too tight. The ear band is a good compromise between covering my ears and being able to and hear. I have some hearing problems and a full over the ear flap causes me to miss conversations. With this cap my ears are covered enough so they are not uncomfortable, and I have all my hearing. My wife and daughter have not stopped teasing me on the look. I like it. It is distinctive. And it works.

I have searched for years to find the same type of cap worn by Ed Gein (the noted serial killer/cannibal from Plainfield, Wis) . . . and finally found it at Duluth Trading.
