Best Christmas gift I've received and have been happy with it from the first time I put it on. Warm, flexible, and water repellent makes it a perfect garment for working on the shipping docks or clearing brush on a drizzley day.

This is very nice vest with a very warm berber fleece lining. The fire hose canvas was unexpectedly soft and flexible, since this vest was my first experience with this material and I think I will be getting more products made from this. What were drawbacks for me may not be drawbacks for others, depending on your planned use for this vest. I felt the vest would be improved if it zipped up all the way, instead of just to the breastbone, because that would improve its warming and insulating qualities, but that would change the style and it might not work for everyone, and to be fair, Duluth does offer other vests that zip up all the way. I also felt the vest was just a bit too long in the back, which makes for some discomfort while siitting, but again, there are others for whom this might not be a problem. Overall, I was satisfied with this product. It's well made and durable, and does make for a good layer, especially under my motorcycle jacket.

I have five of these vests in different colors and I wear them all winter. On all but the coldest days a long sleeve T a short sleeve button down shirt and the berber lined vest layered is all I need to stay warm. You cant beat the ease of movement while wearing this vest instead of a coat. I see that this vest is being replaced with a similar model with more exterior pockets, I think this is a mistake. This vest is a great product with high ratings, why discontinue it.

I am a medical bus driver and am in and out very often. Seat belt wears out front of vest, but Duluth stands behind this. It a great product and I would recomend it.

I work in landscape construction and this vest is perfect! I needed something that I could wear to keep me warm as well as provide me with unrestricted movement. This vest accomplished that and more. The amount of pockets on the inside are perfect for holding all the small things that constantly get lost like line levels and pencils. The first day I wore this vest to work people were asking where I got it!

This is a great vest for any casual or work layer. It's often enough on it's own. Though, I've used it as a layer under a canvas field coat and been plenty warm without the bulk of down. The Fire Hose canvas is durable enough even when I'm involved with something as abrasive as logging or carpentry.

Here too, I had to compromise a bit in fit, as the usual XLGT was so snug as to make the pockets useless... So, I settled on a 2XLT, which is a little roomy, but workable when:

1) The pockets are loaded with stuff
2) I'm layering over a hoody
3) I'm concealed-carrying one of my Glocks

Forget the man-purse! With one of these vests you're good to go for the day! Wallet, glasses, sunglasses and/or shooting glasses, medications, cell phone, snack, spare magazine--no problem! It's all in the vest!

This is a remarkably versatile garment when layered with a sweater or a hoody, and could arguably replace a traditional jacket where winters are mild.

Again, the fit was a little twitchy, but that could all be me...

This was a gift for my man, but I know he appreciates the fit for an XXL Tall man. The sturdiness of the fabric and the many interior pockets will serve him well as he takes care of his property, hunts, fishes, etc.

This vest was not what I expected and at first I was a bit disappointed and considered returning it. I was replacing my worn out vest from another vendor which was much lighter, with a full zipper front up to the neck, with a bit of a rolled or stand-up collar. This vest ,with it's bulkier weight and shorter v-neck zipper concerned me as it was to heavy to wear under my jacket and I thought the open neck would be to chilly. However, because of Duluth's GREAT return policy I figured I would give it a try and began wearing it alone over a long sleave shirt, and found it to be quite warm and comfortable. The many pockets also were so useful, I had a place for my cell phone, my pipe and tobbaco pouch, my bag of dog treats, my multitool, my earbuds,a pen, carkeys, lighter, pack of gum and still had room for more! When I go for my daily hikes with my dog "Jack" I have everything I need with me. The two zippered injside pockets are super secure. I have come to really love this vest and glad I decided to give it a chance. A Napoleon style pocket ,either inside or outside might be a nice addition, in place of one of the regular type pockets.

good vest. Wish it zipped all the way up. The zipper seems a bit flimsy and it could definatley use a breast pocket for holding my cell or pencil
