You Might As Well Draw in the Snags

        By BG124C41

        from Chapel Hill, NC

        Pros

        • Excellent Next To Skin
        • Great Color
        • Wicks well

        Cons

        • Snags Way Too Easily

        Best Uses

        • CASUAL WEAR

I don't know of a single task involving physical labor that would not ruin the look of this shirt. My downfall was hedge pruning, followed by my Lab puppy. Each contributed its share of snags. Whatever benefit the jade may confer, and I have yet to detect any, is more than offset by how easily and quickly it can be defaced by ordinary use. At the very least, it should be sold with a warning.

        Keeps me cool

        By Bubba the Fireman

        from Los Angeles, CA

        Pros

        • Comfortable
        • Good for hot weather
        • Loose fitting
        • Sun Protection

        Cons

        • Limited color choices
        • Material snags easily

        Best Uses

        • Working In Hot Weather
        • Working in the sun

I've used these long sleeve T-Shirts while working in and out of the desert sun all day in the mid 90's Fahrenheit. I've noticed the difference in comfort over standard cotton T-Shirts. When an afternoon breeze picks up the cooling effect is more noticeable. I've even worn a short sleeve Armachillo button shirt over the long sleeve T-Shirt and still felt fairly comfortable when unbuttoned. I wear long sleeves to prevent sunburn and potential skin cancer. The downside is the fabric, which snags easy. Be careful! That's not a great concern to me as these are working shirts not 'snappy duds'.

I use the shirt riding motorcycle.
It keeps me from getting a sunburn, so the spf works!
The shirt snags very easily. You have to be quite careful what you are walking near. If you put a coat over the shirt, be careful what the inside of the coat has sticking out as a "catch", even a button back will fray the material.

              • I love these shirts
              • Very light feel
              • Works Just Like They Say

              Cons

              • Sizes run a bit large

              Best Uses

The shirt is too nice just to wear when I work so I save mine for when I am driving my convertible MX – 5. I live in Arizona and the summer sun can be blistering. The shirt prevents my arms from getting sunburned and keeps me much cooler than a regular cotton T-shirt. I also like that Duluth does not put a tag in the back of the T-shirt but instead prints the information. Randy in Prescott, Arizona.

Not sure I will wear this shirt. I was hoping for a lightweight, sun protective pullover. Admittedly, it is that. But it feels "creepy" and it snags easily. I definitely would NOT recommend it to others. Stick with cotton for pullovers!

I bought two of these for my husband who is very sun sensitive. He has several other brands of sun protective long sleeved shirts, but this is by far the lightest, most breathable fabric and the most comfortable. When it's hot out, it's no fun to have to cover up, but with this shirt, it's no problem. I bought him a size large, which is what he wears across the board in shirts, and these are a bit too large, but not enough to move down to a medium.

The shirt looks and feels great, but the first time I wore it doing light yard work some branches must have caught on on the shirt pulling some threads out of the weave so now I have an otherwise nice looking shirt with some weird looking loose thread-loop patches.
