Men's Sizing Charts

Head:

Measure around head, just above eyebrows. Convert inches to hat size using sizing chart.

Sleeve:

Measure from center of back at neck to shoulder, over elbow and down to wrist.

Tradesman Sizing:

Our clothing is generously sized for extra roominess and easy moving fit. No need to size up.

Neck:

Measure around the middle of the neck (at the Adam's apple).

Waist:

Bend side to side to find natural waist. Measure around waist.

Chest:

Keeping tape parallel to the floor, measure fullest part of chest with arms relaxed down at sides.

Inseam:

Measure a pair of pants that fit you well. Measure from the crotch seam to bottom of pants. If you are measuring 100% cotton pants that have been washed, add 1⁄2".

VERY TOUGH, DIRT RESISTANT AND COOL

I bought these specifically to replace a pair of denim shorts I ruined by snagging them on a nail doing light construction/demolition work. I had previously purchased the shirt of the same material and loved it. These shorts exceeded my expectations by a wide margin. I purchased two pair. They have already withstood twice the workout that ruined the old denim shorts. Extremely comfortable from first wear, very durable and stands up to dirt like no tomorrow. It was 90 degrees plus and they were cooler than the old denim ones. I will probably buy more and retire all my old work shorts!

I found the previous (no longer avaialble) short's slash front pockets easier to use and the 8 oz. fire hose cooler than these shorts.

No side pocket, worked well for Phones!

For whatever reason they discontinued the previous model #95034 Coolmax firehose shorts. These in my opinion were much better designed. They had an elastic waistband, much softer material which was still sufficiently durable for most use. The layout of the pockets, the geometry was much better in my opinion, the entrance to the pockets was at an angle more in line with the natural geometry of one's arms. These shorts you have to reach in from above, which is more awkward to do. Also the right hip pocket was a very useful feature, particularly for those who like myself carry a smartphone device. This pocket was a perfect size to put it in. Now there is a useless loop in its place. Not happy with the redesign!

Great Shorts

Comfortable shorts. Looks good, at least my wife thinks so.
The only negative is the front pockets are a little tight and getting my hand to the bottom of the pocket is a little tough.

Stopped my jock itch.

During these hot/humid South Carolina summers, I sweat like a spent race horse. These are the first work pants I have worn that are both strong/rugged and don't soak up the sweat.They are very comfortable for work pants.

It is just a pair of shorts. I don't find them to be extra special. The waist runs small. I had to order one size larger then other shorts from DTC.

Love these shorts! Wish I had more for the hot, humid days that are so common around here. Paired with the Buck Naked drawers, there is no sweat on this working man. But don't forget to stay hydrated!
