Men's Sizing Charts

Head:

Measure around head, just above eyebrows. Convert inches to hat size using sizing chart.

Sleeve:

Measure from center of back at neck to shoulder, over elbow and down to wrist.

Tradesman Sizing:

Our clothing is generously sized for extra roominess and easy moving fit. No need to size up.

Neck:

Measure around the middle of the neck (at the Adam's apple).

Waist:

Bend side to side to find natural waist. Measure around waist.

Chest:

Keeping tape parallel to the floor, measure fullest part of chest with arms relaxed down at sides.

Inseam:

Measure a pair of pants that fit you well. Measure from the crotch seam to bottom of pants. If you are measuring 100% cotton pants that have been washed, add 1⁄2".

Great shorts only one problem

Crouch Fails

I bought one pair and new I needed another. But after getting the second pair, the first pair came undone just below the zipper. A year later the second pair is failing. Other than that they are great shorts, Great to work and relax in, my favorite shorts. Just got a pair of the quick dry hoping they'll last longer.

Finally, longer firehose shorts! :)

I have a few pairs of the older, 9" inseam "Ultimate" fire hose shorts. I like those quite a bit, but I always wished they were a bit longer, and the back pocket design makes it a bit difficult to get my wallet out of the pocket.

These new ones with the 11" inseam solved all the problems I had with the old fire hose shorts. The only problem I have with these so far is that they're sold out in my size and I can't get more... >_<

These make a great companion to the fire hose pants when it is hot out. No complaints will get another pair at some point since these are likely to become one of my favorite pair of shorts, very vesatile and utilitarian.

Great pair of work shorts. I like the double cargo pockets that keeps my phone and wallet separate from hardware and tools. These are really durable. Only gave four stars for two reasons: no quantity discounts like there are with other shorts and I dont care for the Velcro belt loops on the side that accommodate tool loops. I don't use them and find them bulky.

Needs some work

I Am a manager at a garden center so i am constantly moving and I am really hard on clothes. At first these shorts worked great the side velcro things are alittle weird but you get used to them. The pockets are great. But About three weeks from buying them i started to notice i was getting a hole right below the fly. Well i exchange them for a new pair and the new pair gets a hole in that exact same spot even faster than the first pair. So i called duluths great customer service line and i got a pair of the ultimate firehose shorts. Bottom line the shorts are great but they need to work on the quality control to make sure people dont get shorts that wear out too soon.

Pro's out do the cons

Double Pleat Cargo Pocket

I love all things made out of the firehose material. I've owned a number of shorts and recently purchased these because they were longer and true "cargo" shorts. The belt loops are great and the accessory Velcro holders are substantial. What I don't like are the buttons on the back pockets (Velcro or nothing would be fine) and what I hate is the double pleat on the cargo pockets. The center pleat keeps catching on the knobs of kitchen and bath cabinets and anything else that is just above knee high. I've never had this problem with other cargo shorts but I am catching everything when I'm near a counter. The fact the cargo pockets have two pockets is great and I love that feature but would prefer just one pleat - a bit deeper. Also, I carry a knife or measuring tape and the reinforced hook area on the 64002 shorts should be added to the next generation of these shorts.
