I use these when riding my motorcycle in cool weather. I live in Texas so the weather gets cool not cold. I know what cold is because I used to live in Upstate New York. These long johns are OK for cool Texas weather but not suitable for cold weather. They are just too thin and lightweight. They are very comfortable though. I wouldn't think that making them twice as thick would reduce comfort but it certainly would help retain heat. They are OK but not worth the price.

These are really comfortable to wear under clothes, and are not at all bulky. I generally prefer wearing one piece union suits once it gets cool, but the are hard to find and Duluth no longer carries them (hint).

The matching shirts (both short sleeve and long sleeve) are long enough, in the body, for me, so that they don't come untucked, which is a problem with other brands. These long underpants could be a little bit longer at the ankles, but otherwise fit me well. I also bought the thigh length underpants, and like them, as well.

They are expensive, but I think they are worth what I paid. I would pay more if they offered it in a one piece unionsuit style.

Riding motorcycles year round from single digits to 110 degrees. These are perfect 22 degrees 80 mph for 2 hrs with two layers on top. Stays warm and wicks really well.!! Awesome products.

I bought these for my husband who works outside in fields almost year round. He is used to being outside with no protection from the wind in temps well below freezing. (We live in west-central IN). He loves these long underwear because they aren't bulky yet they still keep him very warm.

He is 6'2" and wears 36/36 pants and the long underwear, although they could have been an inch or so longer to be perfect, were quite satisfactory on the length.

Ordered these for an AZ whitetail hunt. Mornings were a bit cold and due to the material thickness I wore the top over a T-shirt and it got sweaty. I wouldn't rely on these in cold temps.

Wish it were a little heavier. Hoping for a better insulator. Have not gone out in the very cold to test. Probably more suitable for chilly wet days.
