Comments about Duluth Trading General Powell's Pocketknife:

At first I was a dissappointed because the knife seems a bit small, but it's beautifully designed and fits easily in my pocket. It holds a great edge and really comes in handy for everyday chores. I highly recommend it as an everyday take-along tool.

Comments about Duluth Trading General Powell's Pocketknife:

This knife is well finished. The blades are 440 stainless steel; good, hard steel that holds an edge well. Both blades have cutouts allowing sharpening along the entire cutting edge. The knife is ideally sized for unobtrusive carry in street or business clothing. Contrary to advertising, the blades are difficult to open with one hand. The knive is too small for one-handed opening of the clip blade. The straight blade needs a nick machined into front edge near the top of the blade to grab a pocket edge or belt loop. That one slight modification would permit one-handed opening of the straight blade.

Comments about Duluth Trading General Powell's Pocketknife:

I really like the small size of this knife. It fits perfect in the coin pocket of my Fire Hose work pants, which I wear pretty much 7 days per week. The straight edge is perfect for opening packaging tape on shipping boxes. Seems to be very well made and looks great. I like this knife a bunch.

Comments about Duluth Trading General Powell's Pocketknife:

As mentioned, this is a small knife. I honelstly was disappointed in the size, but it has since become my everyday carrier! I find the size perfect for a multitude of tasks.

Blades are sharp and very useful. I have actually shaved with the flat razor blade, just to check out whether I could. (one wants to be presentable should the zombie apocalypse come).

I find it is well made - haven't had any troubles and I have had it for 3 months now.

I was a little disappointed in the wood scales - they weren't as nice as they looked in the catalog, but hey, that's how wood is!

This is a great little knife for a gift or as an executive knife, where you don't want to whip out a huge pocket knife to open something - it's also great for small animal and bird cleaning, the sharp little blades make fast work of skinning.

The metal strip in the back that applies pressure to keep the blade open (doesn't lock it though) broke in the middle and fell out. It is very cheap, lightweight pot metal.
