I keep it by my bed in case someone breaks in. The strobe feature would disorient the intruder which would give me an advantage. Once the intruder is disoriented the Fenix is built so that it could be used to defend yourself. The Fenix is an extemely bright light in a small package. Planning on ordering another to keep in my truck. Only thing the light needs is a way to carry the spare parts that is included which are the "O" ring and switch covering.
