I bought this to use as a airline carry-on to go under the seat. I have not had a chance to take it on a flight yet, but it looks like it will work just fine. Very sturdy. Stands up nicely. The middle pocket will work great for my laptop. I really like the reinforced top openings.

Useful and sturdy but very heavy. That may be because of its studiness, but for the next generation, perhaps lighter (but still sturdy) material can be used. Middle compartment great for toting laptop.

I have been a Duluth customer for years starting with the riggers bag years ago. That was a perfect bag back then but my business model changed and I needed the bag to do more than ever. Not knowing about this bag I tried several other pretenders that never were the answer. Finally I saw this bag, bought it, and it is the answer I needed. Plenty of space and many options to customize your stuff and organize small items in the parts box that comes with it. The only drawback, as others have stated, is the weight. This is not the bags fault though. I keep trying to trim things down but never get anywhere. The weight is the price I pay to accomplish what needs to get done. I have been using this bag for over a year. Nothing has broken, ripped, or failed.... Tough bag

i was able to swap out a milk crate and 3 smaller tool bags with this one ... the plastic tray is super convenient in my line of work to hold fittings and screws and all the other small parts that get lost. Lots of room in it and well built. I'm always for something to save me time or get me organized and this did both. It's the highest quality and ingenuity that i expect from duluth. Buy it, you'll like it.

Does a terrific job containing most of the tools (power and hand) for typical day to day jobs. However, I accidentally stumbled on other uses for this bag, too. I had a last minute need for a couple of briefcases that could hold papers and manuals for two different jobs, plus some kind of carrier for a computer. I emptied the tools out and this bag was PERFECT. The two main pockets are ideally sized for this and the computer fit perfectly into the central pocket. Then I had a quick weekend trip which also required some paperwork and books. This thing worked great as a carry-on, too, again with the computer stored in the center divider.

It's strong enough to handle substantial weight in tools. Openings make it easy to get at what you need. Internal pockets are fairly convenient for small wrenches, tape measure, pliers, etc.; external pockets hold pencils, rules, small tools like whetstones that could get lost in the shuffle of the main tool pockets. Though it's fabric, it feels like it's built to take a lot of hard use. Strap and handles don't strait at all even when it's fully loaded and heavy. The plastic bolt box has plenty of compartments. I've got mine full of everything from drawer pulls to cotter pins.

In short, this thing is a tremendous value at the price. It's probably going to outlast all of us. I'm getting a second one that I can use for non-tool work and for travel. I've bought a lot from Duluth over the years. This may be the single most useful item they make. Cannot recommend it strongly enough.

I purchased the first one for my pneumatic staplers. I keep two staplers, staples, air line, oil and other related items in it. Grab the bag and you have everything for a job that requires staples. I had to purchase another one for my second router. Router, base plates, bits, edge guide all fit in it, ready for action. I like to think I am organized, with these tool bags maybe I am!

I am actually a Cinematographer and Camera Assistant in the film industry by trade. I needed a bag to put all of my camera and grip equipment into and I saw this and scooped it up.

Cinematographers bags cost hundreds of dollars and are pretty much the same thing as this bag. The thin center pocket is perfect for holding a sync Slate/clapboard and a clipboard with the productions call sheet list etc. on it. Every set I show up on people ask me where I got my bag from and production is always very impressed how prepared I am. There has been more than one occasion that something in my "magic bag" has saved a production from failing a day of shooting. It has also been drenched with water on a couple occasions and everything inside stayed very dry. I can fit 6 rolls of tape 2 100ft extension cables, a maglite, 2 DSLR cameras my laptop, a sync slate, a clip board, and tons of other small things like light meters and flashlights in this bag. It's spectacular. The only downside is that its so big, you can make it very heavy! But I guess that's mostly my fault.
