Haven't used yet but handle works great, looks heavy duty enough to handle snow removal around a stuck vehicle when necessary, hope never to have to use it but nice and compact for the back of the car when we get 2 ft. of snow.

I've been looking for a lightweight, durable shovel to keep in my trunk during my frequent business travel all over the eastern US. I've been in situations at hotels, airport parking lots, etc., where after a significant snowstorm, they plow the lot, but they can't get too close to the cars, so by the time you get there, your vehicle is pretty well stuck. Instead of digging out with my hands, a cardboard box, or some other makeshift method, I'm going to use this shovel to dig out fast and get on my way. Anybody who travels much where it snows has been in this situation -- frozen hands and face and cursing like crazy. This seems like cheap insurance.

Living in VA, I have only had to use a trunk shovel once, but I was so grateful it was there that day! Needed a shovel for a second car (Prius), so we required something small. Love how this one collapses. Have not used it yet (hope I won't have to), but it seems sturdy enough.

This is a small shovel that I can keep in my car through the winter in case I get stuck in the snow. It doesn't take up much room. I haven't tried it out yet but it gives me peace of mind knowing it is there.

I ordered three of these, one for each of our vehicles. (Yes, we do get snow in California.)

On one of them, the handle didn't fit into the shovel (it only went partway in, but probably would've still been usable in an emergency).

Looks like an otherwise well-constructed product, but be sure to check the fit of your handle before you toss the shovel in your trunk.

I bought this for my daughter who is taking her car to school (Univ.of MN). She will need this to dig her car out of the snow. It seems sturdy. I like that it folds down so she can store it in her car.
