    COMMENTS:

These really are great knee pads. I use these at lot at my contracting business re-wiring older homes.
I am on my knees a lot, with lots a movement crawling in tight spots etc. The pads stay in place most of the time, but need to adjust a few time a day, but not nearly as much as regular style knee pads. I am very happy with this product, well made, clever design.

      COMMENTS:

I am on my third pair after getting out of a wheelchair three years ago and promising the doctor who saved me from having knee surgery that I would not work without knee pads even if I was working while laying on my back. I went through several pairs from other sources that don't begin to match the comfort, support and protection that these provide. They feel so good on that when I return from work I often forget to take them off and sometimes my wife has to remind me to take them off before I go into a business meeting !! The biggest criticism from my experience and from the various negative reviews is the Velcro closures. After a while they wear out. But DT sends you a new pair for no charge. How can you beat that? And for the folks who write that the Velcro doesn't accommodate bigger or smaller legs, that's easy to fix. I'm very lean and so I ran the Velcro tabs thru the sewing machine and took a big enough tuck so that the Velcro had full contact (until it wore out.) For those of you with big legs, get yourself some industrial strength Velcro, extend the existing tabs and you'll get the full benefit. I definitely recommend them.

        COMMENTS:

I was hesitant to buy these due to the many complaints in the reviews of the velcro straps being too short. So I called Duluth Trading and they got back to me via email with the following detailed explanation of the fitment of these knee pads:

"The upper straps are supposed to be 29 3/4" when fully extended this would accommodate a thigh of approximately 28 3/4" with one inch of grip for the hook-n-loop tape closure. The smallest setting could fit a thigh of about 15".

The lower straps could accommodate up to a 17" calve, plus or minus, again due to how much overlap you have on the securing hook-n-loop closure. We Came up with the 17" by have a 1" overlap. The lower straps themselves are 9 1/2" on one side and 3 1/2" on the other.

Note that these pads are a one size and are not offered in a Large. The knee pads themselves are labels with R & L for right and left designations."

I had another brand articulated knee pad where the pad itself floated around too much around the knee - these fit more snugly around your knee and leg. They almost feel like they are a part of your leg. The only negative I have found is while standing/walking the bottom edge of the pad digs into my shin slightly but does not when on my knees. I'm still experimenting with the adjustment to see if I can get rid of that. Overall a great design and highly recommended.

          COMMENTS:

I always read the reviews and saw where a few people were disappointed in these Knee Pads but in my experience, as a heavy equipment repairman, they are truly a blessing. They not only protect my knees they also add valuable support to them to help protect against injury.

            COMMENTS:

Just bought my pair at the Grand Opening in Noblesville IN. They look great but the Velcro strap isn't long enough to go around my leg. Doesn't appear they have a larger size either. Very disappointed they don't fit me.
