I bought this for my son who works on his truck all the time. I thought he could sit on it while changing his tires or working on the lower part of his truck. He really liked it and thought of all kinds of uses for it. Another plus was that the stool was lightweight, portable and very sturdy and comfortable.

Looked a long time for a comfortable stool. This is it! The best about this stool is the choice of heights and a seat that "fits".

I have bought several camp chairs in the past, but they always failed in a few months, I think this chair will go the distance, it seems sturdy and well made. I also like that it has a higher seating height then most stools, It gives my knees a break

Comments about Work Stool - 22 inch Walkstool:

I first bought one for use on a vacation to the seashore. It did well in the beach sand without need for the additional strap attachment (the stool footpads are very large and supportive on all reasonable ground conditions - larger rocks excluded). The stool materials used are heavy duty - seat netting, one inch diameter tubing with thick aluminum walls on leg sections, flats on extendable legs to ensure they are always properly aligned wheh extending them, metal pivot point for the three legs, large tuff rubber foot pads two inches in diameter. The seat made me feel as if I was sitting in a comfortable saddle (triangular seat material 16 inches length from point-to-point). It is very stable; when I learned how to sit down on a three legged stool (i.e. one stool leg positioned in the crotch area and using a squat posture when first sitting down). I bought this stool because of back issues that result in pain and numbness in my legs/feet from standing or walking for a period of time. When I would sit my hips took the pressure on the stool seat with no pressure felt on my lower spine. Because of the excellent supported weight displacement the numbness went away fairly quick allowing me to once again walk without pain. When sitting properly on the seat I did not feel as if I was leaning towards any unstable direction. I felt more like I was centered directly over the center of the stool and very relaxed (I think I could have even fallen asleep in that position). Because I was so impressed with the construction, design and usefulness of this stool, I bought three more. An additional one for myself and two more as gifts. A con: for older/weaker hands - it is possible the release button that locks the extended leg may be hard to push inwards when unlocking the legs (one gift went to a 79 year old friend). That can be overcome by using any available device to assist in pushing on the button (e.g. car key, wooden stick, the cable lock on the provided net-carry-bag, a friends stronger finger). I plan on making a plastic rod tied to a cord that can be secured to the velcro strap on the stool for use by my weaker friends. I am 66, 200lbs and 5'-8" using the 22 inch Comfort model Workstool (when sitting my legs are bent at an angle greater than 90 degrees). I paid a little more for the Comfort model because of the heavy-duty materials used in its construction. I feel it was an excellent longterm investment. Also, I gifted two friends with a 22 inch Comfort model Workstool and they both love theirs (they are 4-6 inches shorter than me). This Walkstool is lighweight to carry and comes equiped with a bag made from a strong net material. The nets drawstring can be thrown over the head and shoulder making the Walkstool effortless to carry. Additionally, when the legs are collapsed and strapped for storage, holding the top and bottom of the Walkstool and twisting the entire three leg assembly a little clockwise will cause the foot pads to lock against one another thus preventing inadvertant extension of the legs. I highly recommend the Walkstool Comfort model.

                Greetings,

I am sending this to say that I am impressed with my first order from Duluth Trading.

That said, I am questioning the description of the 92254 Walkstool in the catalog.

It is described as a "2 position stool". I challenge any one to set on the stool in the

                other than full extended position.

The stool as shipped will serve my needs. Others customers may not be as easy as me.

Thank you for being a quality vendor. The humor is good too.

Comments about Work Stool - 22 inch Walkstool:

I got the walkstool for use when waiting to go in the ring at dog shows. I wanted something easy to carry and lightweight for packing when traveling. The walkstool is perfect and I'm very happy with it. My only minor complaint is that you do need to keep your feet planted as its a bit unstable. Don't buy it if you plan to lounge in it!

Comments about Work Stool - 22 inch Walkstool:

I have severe arthritis in both knees and just started a job that requires much standing and bending so had to figure something out to accommodate. Without this stool, I am quite sure I wouldn't be able to continue with this job. I'm actually going to buy another one to keep as a back-up and use at home when I'm organizing closets, etc. I have a big behind, so the seat isn't that comfortable for long term sitting, but more comfortable than being in severe pain from standing!

Comments about Work Stool - 22 inch Walkstool:

I have two bad knees, both with bone-on-bone contact and this stool is a life saver. While walking is painful, just standing in one place waiting for something is far worse, and this stool is a great solution! I purchased the 22" model. On the job I either carry it loose in my hand or in a tool bag depending on the needs of the task at hand. Off the job it's pretty much the same, either loose carry or in a backpack depending on where I'm going. In either case when I find myself standing & waiting for something the stool comes out and my butt goes on it, and what a relief for the knees. It's quick to set up and quick to take down and a very light carry. I tip the scales at 340 lbs and I haven't had any problem with the stool supporting my weight. The only issue I've had is that on one occasion my knees were screaming and in my haste to set up the stool I inadvertently pulled one leg all the way out of the frame, but it was easy to put back in and still works fine. I've had it for about a month now and do not leave home without it. Good quality product, made in Sweden.
