Once I was able to get these on (after a 10 minute struggle) these were comfortable and felt secure with the gripping sole; BUT! After taking them off and trying again to put them on, It was nigh impossible, it was impossible with the left one.

I bought these because I have a pair of Wild Boar Shoes which I absolutely love. The opening on the sandals are smaller than the shoes, making them much harder to put on. Compaired to the shoes the sandals have no arch support at all, making aftermarket insoles a necessity. Like all Duluth Trading Company branded apparel, they are extremely well made and will most likely last several years. Overall I'm happy with the sandals.

I WEAR MINE ALL THE TIME. THEY ARE VERY COMFORTABLE AND I THINK THEY WILL LAST ALOT LONGER THAN THE CHEEP ONES THAT I WAS BUYING, 3 TIMES A YEAR.

Like several other reviewers I had a tough time getting my large feet with high insteps into these sandals at first, but once I wore them for a week or so they formed to my feet and the initial difficulties vanished. These aren't really my idea of sandals though;with their medium weight construction, double-stitched leather uppers and thick rubber soles I consider them much more like vented adventure shoes. Now that they're broken in, I find no faults in them. When it comes time to replace them I plan on ordering an identical pair.

Heavy duty sandal, difficult to get on

                • Difficult to put on

                Best Uses

                • General Spring Summer

These sandals fit well for 13W with thin ankle socks, a bit loose with bare feet. I like they have a thick supportive sole, unlike some similar sandals I have that have soles that are flexible.

However, like many have complained, they are difficult to get on because of the small opening at the top. The "laces" really do nothing to open them up. An easy solution for Duluth would be to put a Velcro strap on the back. I have an old pair from another maker with a Velcro strap and they are easy on and off.

Overall a good sandal with a serious design flaw. If you want something that you can hike, bike and work in, and don't mind a bit of difficulty putting it on, this is a good choice.

I have a low arch, and I can use an orthotic insert with these great summer shoes, withor without socks. wonderful cushioning and support! Plus good looks...I get asked about them whenever I wear them.

Size. Right on with sport socks, slightly loose with bare feet. Offer grip and moderate protection on tropical jobs. Once cleaned up, ok for even church, when unable to pack multiple shoes. Would recommend
Only thing I would suggest is a pull tab on the back for easier donning when wet,
