      COMMENTS:

I bought this for my woodworking husband. This would not fit a man shaped like Duluth uses in their advertisements (like the naked guy in the buck naked underwear commercials). My husband is 6'6" and 375 lbs. This looked like a child's apron on him, so we are returning it. I bet, had it fit him, that it would have been a great work apron. Everything promised in the description was true. But it was too tiny for my husband.

Save your money unless you modify this apron as I have.

        COMMENTS:

I have used this apron and modified it for the past 15 years. I will be retiring my apron in the next few months and will not be buying another Duluth apron. I do not feel the design of this apron has been improved whatsoever in the last 15 years. The mesh pockets are a joke. If the pockets fill up with sawdust, clean them out! My drill bits and driver bits that fall through the mesh are worth more than the apron! The storage slots at waist level are useless. I am a fit person. When I bend over the vertical slots that should be able to have a nail set, small screwdriver, or something that fits in that slot, should not 'poke' into my gut. The vertical slots should be at a 45' angle. When you bend over the 45' angle will allow more movement. I am curious if Duluth will contact me regarding their product. Also, the suspension straps are not adjustable for someone that would wear this apron for an 8 hour shift, (like me). I have pictures of the modifications made to improve the apron for my use.

          COMMENTS:

The neck strap is too abrasive. Chaffee my neck overtime i use it. It could be made of softer more comfortable material. I added a piece of lambs wool. Works well for me.

              COMMENTS:

I have had this apron for over a year and it has done what is was meant to do. There are a few changes I would make to improve the functionality of the apron. First I would make the small pencil holder pocket larger. You can't put a small ruler in the back pocket and a pencil in the front pocket. Currently the small pockets are useless. The hammer loops on the side should be reinforced. After a years use the loops have become soft and misshaped. It now takes both hands to put the hammer in the loop. The straps are a joke. They twist and stretch and near the buckle they have worn almost in two. The straps going over the shoulder should be wider so not to cut into your neck when you are moving around. I like the mesh in the front lower pockets but they still fill up with dust. You have to shake the apron after you take it off to get all the dust out. I don't use the small tool pockets that are on the front of the apron because when I put a screw driver in the pocket and try to bend over the screw driver pushes into my gut. All in all this is a "OK" apron but it still needs a lot of work.
