Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

I already owned this pair of pants in a 34x34 (what my pants size is normally), but the waist was too tight, and the length was too short. It looked like the flood came and left, and my pants were way too short. I just tried on the 36x36 hoping it would fit, and the waist size is perfect, but the pants go past my toes, and I can't even poke my feet out of the pants. I love Duluth and their warranty, but the sizing absolutely sucks.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

The color is so dark that marks and dirt show very clearly on the pants. With most pairs of jeans I can dust my hands off on my pants with no real problem, but with these it really shows up.

Other than that, they're good pants and I actually plan to order another pair.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

This is a great product, but Duluth should offer these in odd and even numbered sizes; I usually wear 35x34 and had to order 34x34. The waist, inseam and legs are appropriately sized and afford free movement. However the pants constrict considerably in the span of fabric between the opening of the pockets and the thighs, making it difficult to reach into the front pockets and resulting in discomfort in certain "vital" areas when sitting. I appreciate the breathable and durable qualities of the fabric and its overall workmanship, but sizing may be tricky. I would like my pants more if they afforded a little less restrictive in the area described above.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

Good strong pair of "jeans" - better than other premium brands. Strong, rugged, yet not heavy on the hips. They run true to size all around and I cannot figure out all the complaints about the zipper not being long enough. I'm think those complaints refer more to the fire hose in use than the zipper size - I have no problem at all taking care of business when Mother Nature calls, zipper goes plenty low enough.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

As a timber faller, I work out in the woods all the time with gasoline, oil, mud, and saw chips. I am pushing through bushes, prickers, and scraping up against trees. These pants are strong enough to protect me from the waist down, are a great place to clean my hands off, are darn comfortable in any weather, and can be brushed off for a client meeting at noon. I am able to easily squat, lunge, climb and do about anything in these pants! Just wish there were 2 more belt loops, but the classic 5 works pretty well too.

Thanks for such a great product!

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Fire Hose 5-Pocket Canvas Jeans:

I bought a pair of these in the lined version for my son-in-law who guides for duck hunting which is in the colder fall months. He liked these so well my daughter mentioned the unlined ones for his birthday at the beginning of April since he really hated having to put the lined ones away until fall again. I sent him a new pair, (unlined) and he likes them as well. In the spring he guides fishermen (and women) on one of the lakes in Washington. Loves the pants. Got him the Dry on the fly shorts too. Once it warms up enough we'll see how those go.
