Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Work Pants - Fire Hose Work Pants:

They initially seem heavy, but don't sag down when I load the pockets. As I wear them, they don't seem heavy and they stay comfortable even when I get sweaty. Jeans will sag and load, these are great to work in. They are better even that Dickies work pants for comfort- plus more durable than anything else.
I highly recommend them. I would like 3 more pair, but can't excuse the expense, yet.

    Not worth the money

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Work Pants - Fire Hose Work Pants:

Historically, I have to buy new pants every six months or so, because they wear out in the crotch. Heavy use, light use, just hanging 'em in the closet and looking at them occasionally... it doesn't matter. Within about six months, I have massive holes worn through the crotch of basically brand new jeans.

I bought Duluth's fire hose pants SPECIFICALLY because of their legendary durability, and because I'm tired of throwing away otherwise serviceable pants. I am not a crazy hiker. I am not a bicycle enthusiast. I'm a writer. Most days, I sit in my living room in my pajamas. I don't even have to WEAR the jeans, except when I go to the store or something. So I've barely even put these on more than a dozen times since I bought them.

Yet six months later, I have an otherwise new pair of supposedly super durable fire hose pants, with a five inch hole worn in the crotch.

    Thanks for wasting my money.

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Work Pants - Fire Hose Work Pants:

I'm a mechanical plumber and am often crawling under 5-6 house a day and these pants are perfect for the job. They are strong enough to resist crawling over rocks, jagged wood, and other unpleasant surprises yet allow me to bend, flex, and contort without binding up. My first pair has been in use for over 10 months and have yet to tear or lose any of the stitching. Well worth the money (I now own 5).

Replace the velcro on the cargo pockets with either snaps or buttons and I would have given these pants 5 stars. Also, the waist sizes on Duluth pants seem to be one size smaller. I always have to order up one size, or maybe I'm fatter than I think?

Comments about Duluth Trading Men's Work Pants - Fire Hose Work Pants:

I wear these for work and they are a lot more comfortable than jeans. They provide a lot of extra room where it is needed and make moving around, climbing ladders, and bending down easier. They also fit according to size and haven't shrank. I have a couple pair of the Firehose Flex pants that the length shrank a little but have not had that problem with the regular Firehose. I like both but will probably stay with the regular style. Just a little more comfortable and roomier.

Produce use: Home projects, repairs, yard work, motor cycle riding, and casual wear.

Great stuff: Durable, flexible, good fit, airy, washable, and for the most part wrinkle free.

Not so great: Can't think of anything yet.
