    For tall men

    By la1312

    Pros

    • Nice looking
    • Seem durable

    Cons

    • Too long waisted

    Best Uses

I had to return these. I'm short and they are not proportioned well for my body type. The crotch is uncomfortably low for me. Nothing wrong with the shorts; I like the look, but just not the fit. They'd probably be great on a taller man.

      Finally...shorts that actually fit!

My husband is on the shorter side (5'8") with a robust belly, so shorts that fit the middle section end up looking like cropped pants. These shorts with the 7" inseam are perfect! Not only do they fit his Buddha belly, the length sits just above his knee so they still look like shorts on him. Awesome fabric quality and construction, very tough and holds up to all his outdoor duties. Thanks Duluth!!

One of my biggest pet peeves about shorts is that they're not...well...SHORT. It really bugs me when shorts come down to my knees. Go ahead...try to find a pair of shorts with a 7" inseam. I bought these shorts initially because of that 7" inseam, even though they're quite pricey. Then, after wearing them for awhile I didn't want to give them up for washing, and had to come out and guy another pair. They're so comfy I just live in them. You wouldn't think so with that firehose fabric, but they are.

These are great looking and feeling shorts. A closable cargo flap might be helpful, but that's it. They are otherwise perfect. I'm especially pleased with the 7" inseam as it's almost impossible to find real shorts nowadays. Highly recommended.

Flexible fire hose fabric does not mean an elastic waist band, so be honest with yourself regarding your actual waist size when ordering these shorts, or (to your wife's amusement) you may find yourself having to lie in bed on your back to get them on the first time, as I did. I love that there are no useless pockets, pleats or loops that stick out and hook themselves on drawer knobs when I am cooking in the kitchen. I am retired and all of my every day clothing is now almost exclusively from Duluth Trading Co., as Duluth's quality and value exceeds that of every other manufacturer of whom I am aware ( and I believer I have pretty much tried them all).
