        Thinner material than expected.

        Pros

        • Cool and quick drying
        • Light weight material

        Cons

        • Too Thin For Work

        Best Uses

I am going to return pants because I am required to wear 100% natural fiber clothes to work. They are also so thin, I am afraid they will rip the first time I wear them in a harsh environment with thick brush. Given the high price, I will return these and get two pair of some other pants.

                • Mainly For Summer Wear

The bug repellent is very effective. They are a comfortable fabric and wash up looking good. They hang dry quickly. For warm summer activities they work well. The fabric is too thin for wearing in Alaska during other seasons unless used with long-johns.

My husband took these on a recent camping trip and wore them every day. He loves that he can zip off the legs to have shorts, and used that feature to wade into a river. He also really likes the cool, quick dry fabric. He removed the belt in favor of one he had and likes better, the belt loops are great for the wide belt he uses. The pockets came in handy on hikes for carrying compass, map and stuff the kids handed him. He was able to bend and flex in these pants while packing up gear at the end of the trip.

My husband got these to wear when hiking in Alaska and visiting "tick" areas of the country. He raved to me about how well they worked and how great they were in "sweaty" conditions. Told me they came in women's and that I should get a pair. Unfortunately they are NOT AVAILABLE for women. Not to be deterred, I decided to get a pair of men's. They really do work to keep the bugs away! They are comfortable and fast drying. They do wick away sweat. The smallest size in men's is medium. They are reeeaaalllly baggy on me, but I'm keeping them (three cheers for the included belt). Hey Duluth--I don't want them in women's sizes. I want them in men's small. Why (you might ask)??? Because men always get more pockets than women and the pockets come in real handy. So please get them in men's small, in additional colors (like black) and how about a style that has regular legs and skip the shorts thingy--I'm not wearing shorts in bug country--rather defeats the purpose of having a no fly zone!!!

I just spent 1 week fishing in Northern Georgian Bay Islands, Of which the bays and bush were infested with Black Flies and Mosquitos. With the help of a good head net and treated socks, I did not receive one bug bite for the 1st time ever. I visit the Canadian providence's and or Alaska every year now since 1972 and this truly is the first time I drove home without itching or those burning spots in the more secretive dark and moist folds of my body.

I have a few pair of convertible pants for travel. They are great! They are light and excellent in hot climates. Being convertible they allow you to bring less clothes. They wash and dry quickly at the end of your travel day. My pants are old and worn out. They are difficult to find here in Canada, especially in my large size. I was thrilled when I saw them here. I bought a pair and they fit perfectly. they are a little pricey but when they come on sale I will definitely buy another pair.

i am getting ready to travel to the inca city of machu pichu in the andes of peru. as a beta test i took the no fly pants on a trip to jamacia, grand caymans, and cozumel mexico. the pants performed flawlessly. even though the temps were in the 90's and very high humidity, i was cool. the material wicked away the perspiration and dried quickly. in the evenings, i washed out the pants in a plastic bucket and hung up to drip dry. they were ready to wear the next morning. the belt included passes through airport security and duluth trading was the only place that had them in my size 3xxxl. way to go duluth!
