    COMMENTS:

I know, a lot of folks are complaining about this knife, not recognizing that its simple friction fold design is centuries old. This knife is a CLASSIC, in exactly the same way a Barlow knife (a 400 year old design itself) or an Opinel is. You wouldn't whine about a Model-T not having all the modern bells and whistles, so don't expect this knife to have them either. They've used stainless steel for the handle instead of the traditional brass or bronze, but this knife would be right at home in 18th Century Japan.

I would gladly pay twice as much for a knife of this design but with thicker liners and a more robust and precise mechanism.
