Good Quality, but not as shown in pictures

COMMENTS:

The axe appears to be good quality, and was definitely the size I was looking for. I'm sure it would function fine in it's designed role, but I never made it that far. The axe that arrived was not as shown in the pictures. The stamp/engraving on the head are different, or non-existent. None of this would change the function, however, I was expecting to receive an exact item as pictured, and did not. See attached photos. I will be returning. Duluth should change the photos to an accurate representation.

    COMMENTS:

I sold my Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe to purchase this, hoping it would be at least nearly as good. Well it exceeded my expectations and I feel it is better by a good bit. It seems more suited to the trees of North America, the head profile makes for easy splitting and the fit and finish are top notch.

This axe does not dissapoint, and carries a lifetime warrenty. What is not to like?

    COMMENTS:

Camping made easy. You will be looking for chores once you hold this axe in your hands. Perfect balance. A little fine sanding, a couple coats of linseed oil and you are good to go.

        COMMENTS:

This is an awsome piece of equipment made by one of the last true American tool forges. Quality is excellent. Size is packable but designed for real work. This is not a kindling hatchet! I would take this over those swedish forest axes any day.

          COMMENTS:

At age 72, have been using axes for quite a while and let me tell you this little axe is the all around Bushcraft and Camp axe! Asked to test it out, I ran it through it's paces, mostly cutting and clearing scrub, cutting wood for fire, splitting wood, making shaving for fire(Yes, it came pretty sharp out of the box). Great pack axe, carries well in my pack!! Pretty much my all around go to out and about axe and around the house also!!!!
